This was my WORST experience with an Embassy Suite ever!

Loved it!

My husband and I stayed in the hotel from April 22 to April 23. I was surprising my husband with a weekend getaway. The Martin Lawrence show was at PNC on the 22nd. The hotel staff was great. We enjoyed the free drinks and breakfast. The only thing that I did not like was the construction in the atrium, but I knew it was not the hotel's fault. They are going through a major upgrade. It was nice and I will be returning soon.

You to have patience on the weekend for breakfast

they need to clean better. there is ongoing construction within the hotel. the wait time for breakfasts on the weekend is LONG!! I waited in line 22 minutes on Sat and 25 minutes on Sunday.

Lobby was under construction . did not know ahead of time. Would have affected how much I paid. Probably why it was mp refund reservation. Room was nice and clean though. I would stay again even while under construction at a lower room rate.

under renovation!

Neither Expedia not the hotel informed us upon booking that the hotel is completely under construction. It was very dusty, our room was hot and stuffy and the air con didn't work properly. We needed to do laundry and were directed to a room on the top floor that was dusty and filled with construction materials that had one washer and one dryer - the dryer didn't work. We booked at an embassy suites in Washington that was also under construction and the hotel called us right away to inform us and give us the option to change to another hotel, this hotel should do the same.

Renovation Surprise

Pros: The staff.
Cons: Inform guests of renovation beforehand. Rooms desperately in need of some spiffing up.
Location: Across from Crabtree Valley Mall.
We wearily dragged in after 10PM to find the hotel was under renovation with the entire atrium a construction zone. There had been no information on that provided at the time of booking. The room was very disappointing - dingy and noisy. The one positive was the staff who were uniformly helpful and cheerful. I would be reluctant to book at an Embassy Suites again.

The hotel was under construction, and I was not aware otherwise I would have not went, while I selected 2 double beds online, when I got there I recieved 1 king size bed, and eating breakfast listening to unedited hip hop with my children present was a major turn off.

Would stay there again

Although the hotel is currently undergoing a face lift, my stay was quite pleasant. I would stay there again. Pros: Friendly, courteous staff Manager's reception Breakfast was great Free shuttle service to the mall Proximity to the mall Spacious room Opportunities for Improvement: Indoor pool was not heated Pay a little more attention to details when cleaning restrooms I requested double beds online, but only a king size was available; it might be a good idea to remove the option when booking (especially on the discount websites) so that customers don't have expectations

Great location and fantastic hotel

Even with renovations, this hotel was welcoming and a great place to stay for a quick getaway with my daughter. The breakfast was amazing and, when I considered the amount of work in progress, was very well maintained. The personnel were very friendly and the room was clean and the bed was great. I can't wait to stay here again.
