nice stay. just looking for a nice place for one night and this is definitely the place. great complimentary breakfast in the morning! all your classic hotel needs are met with this place . I would recommend it to anyone in the Raleigh Crabtree area.

In need of updating

Pros: Location
Cons: Maintenance/renovation
One of the two elevators is out of service, leading to long waits. The rooms have a very noisy mechanical system, sleeping is affected. The shower seems fine, but there is no place to put soap, shampoo etc. except the floor. Our room has a bad odor, musty and not pleasant. The pillows are above average, and the bed is fine.....lots of locations to plug in devices. Wifi, comes in and out and is never more than 2 bars.... One of my pet peeves is waiting for Hotel chains to simply offer decent wifi for free, no fuss, no muss....it is a necessity these days, not a luxury add-on. The room is tired, the carpet worn in places....the entire hotel could use some TLC and a revamp.

Horrible Stay

Cons: Everything needs to be improved from the cleanliness to the hospitality
Location: Location was the only perk
I am a advocate for Embassy Suites and I stay there often. I went this past time and my experience was horrible. We had to run our heat on 80 the entire weekend and was still freezing cold. It was never addressed although I called down to make the staff aware. The pool was so dirty the first night my little girl was forced to get out by the staff and they had to shock the pool. Out of three days staying she never got to swim again because the pool was so filthy. We had a guest by us vomit outside of our door and it laid there for 48 hours before anyone even made an effort to clean it. We had mold in our shower as well as the bathroom sink leaked bad and is ruined my phone as I was trying to get ready. I was very disappointed with my stay and I wrote a letter to management and gave it to them as I expressed my dissatisfaction. No one has reached out nor apologized or even tried to refund our stay.

Staff and checkin were great! The room was quiet as could be. We couldn't get the room cool as we would like to have had it for sleeping, but otherwise it was fine. The breakfast was good and the happy hour as nice treat. We will definitely stay there again.

A Mostly Good Stay

Pros: The suite was large and comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast buffet could probably use a little tweaking.
Location: Across from the mall with access to many restaurants and downtown about 20 minutes away.
This was an anniversary overnight stay for us. The hotel has been renovated and is quite nice. The suite was large and comfortable and the location across from Crabtree Valley Mall is a good one. The downside to this particular visit was something unforseen, but did impact our stay. I began to not feel well sometime after going to bed and needed to use the bathroom only to find there was no water in the hotel. I eventually called the front desk at about 3:00 am and was told that there had been a water main break and that there was no water or AC. While water was restored around 4:00 am I believe, it did make for a troubling night. The breakfast buffet comes with a large selection of hot and cold items as wel as a made-to-order omelet and egg station. Both my wife and I found the omelets to be dry and maybe overcooked. The "hot" syrup I poured on my french toast turned out to be almost cold so that was a disappointment as well. Despite all of this, the hotel is really very nice and the breakfast buffet is much nicer than most. I would definitely go back.
