I didn’t like the fact that, 1. On my check in I requested a room with a nice view instead I got no view. 2. On the hotel flyer it said that happy hr was a y certain time when I went down there was nothing and everything was close( the bars) 3. The pool was not working and it was dirty and the pool bathrooms were durty as well.

My first room was on the 4th floor it took several minutes to get there due to the long walk. As soon as I step off the elevator it reeked cigarette smoke. My room smell so bad! I immediately called the front desk and asked to be moved. I was escorted by staff to another room within minutes. I was placed on the 1st floor close to the lobby which I liked. I felt like I was being bitten by something while I slept like a mosquito or something I never noticed any bite marks or saw any bugs in or around the bed or room. I chose to wear my long pajamas tie my hair up and sleep with socks on. The fridge didn’t work so I had no cold water. The tv was so small from the distance from the bed I chose to watch a movie on my computer on Netflix instead. At least I could move it closer to me. The bar served very reasonable drinks and the bartender Daniel was very nice. The breakfast should be complementary to your stay because the selection definitely wasn’t worth $9.99 I was better off going to IHOP. I only stayed 1 night in between my travel out of town. The outside makes you feel like luxurious accommodations but it was definitely any but.

this place was mediocre at best. when i booked, continental breakfast was to be included. come to find out, it didnt have it in my reservation. still was not worth it, passing by it was just dry bread and cereal. there is nothing outside walking distance, so you need drive out to purchase food somewhere else. there was no do not disturb sign in the room, so they let themselves in for housekeeping

Understaffed at check in. AC unit knocked all night - maintenance man “fixed”it only to have the same problem the next night. Requested to switch rooms. Second room smelled like old fast food. Dead cockroach by ice vending machine for all 3 days we were there. Subpar breakfast that almost every single guest seemed to have booked as “free breakfast” but hotel would not honor. Go elsewhere.

Only one person working at check in. Had to wait about 45 minutes to check in and then there were no luggage carts. So I had to wait for someone else to come help me. I only saw 2 people working in hotel. Was told there would be breakfast served at 7 the next morning. No breakfast.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
The hotel didn't have services posted on their website. Then put a hold on our bank accounts 2x for over $500 when our charge was actually only $185. It's been almost 1 week since we stayed abs they're still holding $250+ on our back account even though the official charge has cleared. When we've tried calling multiple days in a row we can't reach anyone and no one calls us back.

Terrible experience. I reserved two single rooms with king beds and they were not king beds. I informed the front desk and they changed our room. The next room did not have a king bed either. It also didn't have a working thermostat so we had to move rooms again. This last room STILL was not a king bed. Each time my husband and I went down to get a different room we had to wait in line for at least 15 minutes. The first room had a broken shower. Last room not all of the lights worked. Everyone I ran into while waiting in line here appeared to be having some kind of issue as well. Also didn't like that the bathroom doors are sliding barn doors they give you virtually no privacy while using the restroom. I do not recommend staying here.

We did not enjoy our stay. We had been driving for 11 hours, asked if we could check in an hour early, sure they said, but it will be a $30.00 charge. No thanks. Then we came back after our appt and checked in. Girl checking us in had no idea where the stairs were located. (I don't like elevators.) Got that squared away, took our autistic 11 yr old to the indoor pool (the only reason we stayed here), someone had pooped in the hot tub- no one would be on property to remove and sanitize the hot tub until the following morning, the pool was freezing and he couldnt use either one. We got situated in our room the tv kept freezing and we couldn't watch our movie. We decided to just go to bed. Within 10 minutes of laying down a bunch of rowdy teenagers pounded on our door. We called the front desk, they sent security, but what could he do? Anyway, it was NOT a pleasurable stay. Will not stay there on our next trip to Durham.

Decent hotel. You’re getting what you pay for. Some mold in the bathroom, helpful staff, cleanish sheets as far as I could tell but I had brought my own anyway. Parking was nice to have. They charge a facility fee which isn’t listed on the posted price… it can’t be negotiated and is rather annoying as it seems underhanded. I’d stay again tbh, but gotta watch those hidden fees.

Bed was comfortable. Asian gal at front desk was rude and made faces when we asked for help finding room. Doesn’t enjoy her job clearly. Breakfast was horrible and everyone there felt the same. Asked and was told breakfast was free when checking in but they tried to collect when we showed up in the morning.

Roaches in our rooms. Odors in hallways, especially in the lobby area. Rugs dirty, microwave on 2nd floor broken and dangerous, floor had water puddles in ice/microwave room for the duration for our 3 day stay. A family member recently moved to Durham and I’ll never stay there when I visit. This goes for the other family members. This hotel was not what I expected from the description online.

My husband and I have always stayed at this property about two times a year. Everything is nice as usual but I forgot a expensive phone charger plugged in the wall. Went back 2 hours after check out and the room had not been cleaned yet but the charger was gone. The front desk even acknowledged that one of their staff most likely took it. Doesn’t make you feel very safe if the staff can’t trusted with a phone charger.

I would never go here again in my life I booked on Expedia got to the hotel to check in and they told me that they were overbooked and that they shouldn’t have booked as many people as they did. That was really ridiculous due to me being from out of town with my two month old baby nobody could do anything but tell me that they were from my money within 15 days that’s ridiculous. I’ll never I didn’t even get a chance to step foot in this building other than the front desk I’ll never come here again in my life, I wouldn’t recommend my dog or my cat or my worst enemy to stay here. Go somewhere else if you can help they clearly over their hotel then when you come even though you’ve already paid, you don’t get a room if they’re overbooked really ridiculous.

We always stay at the Millennium Hotel when we have to go to Duke Hospital, which is every 6 months. We abolutely love that it's quiet and convenient. The rooms are always clean . We have only had one issue and the staff were quck to fix the issue.

Great location, very close to Duke university. Lots of parking, friendly staff, easy check in. Bathrooms have sliding doors that don’t fully close, so that’s annoying. It’s inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. Not fancy but decent and great value. Second time staying here and would stay again.
