Perfect Location - Room was "humid"Posted Nov 17, 2015
Pros: Location, Location, Location...And great Staff and Valet Service
Cons: HVAC Unit / Thermostat needed repaired
Location: All of Downtown Raleigh, completely revitalized and walker friendly, City Market , museums, state buildings and night spots.
The service and staff here were great. The thermostat in the room was malfunctioning and there was a humidity issue - our clothes almost felt wet when we put them on. Could have done with a bit more water pressure on the 10th floor as well.

Nice facilityPosted Nov 7, 2015
Cons: Include high speed internet, stop fooling around. It just ANNOYS us!!
Nice room. Everything worked. Nice staff. Paltry nickel-and-diming over internet access, as usual. Catch up into the 21st Century, Sheraton.

Hotel was low quality for pricePosted Nov 2, 2015
There was visible dirt in the bathroom. The carpets were old and dingy. Air conditioning didn't work and even after the maintenance crew working on it on 2 occasions, they refused to provide another room.

Run down Sheraton-should sell to motel6Posted Sep 18, 2015
Pros: Desk clerk and maid were very nice.
Cons: The whole building needs to be gutted and start over. Right now it looks like an extended stay motel.
Location: I went to the muesums, and a concert, but I would never go to Raleigh on vacation again.
I decided to treat myself and stay at a Sheraton while in town for business. This was a mistake. The hotel is across the street from a court house so their were tons of bail-bonds around the hotel. The hotel staff I met in person were very friendly, but their uniforms are old and outdated and one employee had both cuffs of his pants held in place with staples all around them. The elevator sounded like it was going to drop you any moment. My room was 85 degrees, humid, and smelled funky. I went to report this and 2 other people on different floors reported the same A/C problems. The carpet in my room was stained along with some of the bedding. The hotel looks like it has not been approved in 20 years. The wallpaper was peeling, along with the "leather" insert of the headboard which was cracked and dropping bits off onto my head. There are no balconies even though the room has sliding glass doors screwed shut. There was no fridge in the room. There were signs advertising free showtime and had a "what to watch on showtime" pamphlet and there was no showtime on TV. When I did have a problem with the room, and later when I was doubled billed, and called the general number the lady who answered both times is quick to dismiss you, was rude, and doesn't listen. I paid in full through expedia and the sheraton still charged me for a entire stay when I left. They did refund me because of their billing error, but it was a pain to deal with and could have been avoided.

Pros: Lobby and location
Cons: housekeeping staff
The hotel is in a good location and the lobby is nice. When we got up to our room, it smelled faintly of cigarettes even though it was a non-smoking floor. Also, the second night of our stay, we were awakened to the housekeeper knocking on the door despite a do not disturb sign on the door, not to mention we were checking out in just a few hours. This actually happened twice the same morning! Not sure why there was so much miscommunication! Stay would have been fine if not for this
