THE LOCAL HOUSE Summa

Summary:
A warm and cozy place to stay during your visit to Raleigh! With original charm and character, The Local House is the perfect home away from home just blocks from Downtown Raleigh. We are a pet friendly home and ask for respect and consideration if your animal travels with you to keep house clean. Additional cleaning charges may apply.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to house and yard.

The Neighborhood:
Please be mindful the house is located downtown and represents a good insight to city-living. If you aren't used to staying downtown please be aware: neighbors are a mix of income, as is typical with most downtowns. Many homes in the surrounding blocks have been renovated like ours but be mindful that some of the old poorer residents still live in neighboring homes. Being so close to downtown, there is high foot traffic from individuals traveling to restaurants, bars, or work.
We want you to enjoy your stay in Raleigh and the charm of the 100 year old home! As hosts, we do live close by and feel extremely safe in this neighborhood.

Other Things to Note:
We live close by to the property and can be available fairly quickly should there be any urgent need or request.

Interaction with Guests:
We are local to the area but respect guests privacy during their stay! We are available for in-person urgent matters and always responsive via the AirBnB app.

Comfortable, clean, beautiful home near downtown
We enjoyed our stay. The furnishings were cute and comfortable and everything was very clean. We enjoyed walking to the local food hall for dinner, which had many choices for food/drink. The location was convenient to NC State, downtown, and other cool places such as the State Farm market. Communication with house owner was good and accurate.

In town for a cheer competition
This home was clean, welcoming, and beautifully updated. We were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We needed to be close to downtown, and this was a good location. The neighboring homes appear to be in the process of being updated, and the neighborhood was quiet and friendly.

Wonderful Downtown Home
What a charming and beautifully decorated home. My daughter and I came to attend a concert in Downtown Raleigh. This home was less than a mile from the venue and a wonderful park and cafe for breakfast. The property managers were responsive and communicated quickly. I will definitely come back!

Super Clean and close to downtown
The owner has taken care of thinking of every detail. Nicely furnished, super clean and had all the amenities. I appreciated the coffee maker, kcup pods and creamer provided. Even had laundry detergent. My dog loved the fenced in yard. For those who commented on the neighborhood, yes the street itself where the house is located is worn down but if you go to the next street its new houses and apartments. Downtown is walking distance and there is even a park nearby.

Short stay
Overall, the house is quite lovely. They did a wonderful job fixing up the inside. We were in for a volleyball tournament and it was exactly what we needed in terms of space and cleanliness. It was close to the transfer food court, which was convenient and close to the Richmond Convention Center. We were a little taken aback at first by the neighborhood, however it ended up being a great place to stay without issues.

Raleigh stay
We enjoyed our stay very much! The house was so nice and very clean on the inside! Check in was very easy also! Anytime we had an issue, the owner responded very quickly, which was nice !! My only complaints would be that we did not feel the most safe there. The neighborhood is not the best! One of the girls had a neighbor be very rude to her and the other neighbors were partying pretty loud. The thermostat and the lock for the door also came off, so we had to freeze a little bit before we figured out how to get it to work again. But overall it was great !!! I would recommend it 💜
