Secluded just how I like it!

Awesome hotel! Arrived to a nice and clean room front desk staff, young lady was very helpful (name starts with R) and helped us with special requests! 3rd shift guy was very helpful and friendly as well and housekeeping came quickly with requests as well!!

Walking into the room I could detect an odd smell, something between a gym sock and a old smoking jacket. At first glance, it is a standard room... 2 beds, a decent TV, cheap table, etc. Upon closer inspection it becomes apparent that the cleaning crew must have been in a rush. In addition to the chewed up pen cap under the chair were the receipts for the prior occupants dinner from the night before. I was in town on business and planned on utilizing the advertised 'free wifi' in the room. If you are the type of person who likes for their extremely slow internet connection to terminate every 15 or so minutes, and then take 30 minutes to come back up, well, this is the place for you!!

Front desk employee was unprofessional. She kept her conversation with her friend thru out my whole check in process. She asked to keep my change after buying a few snacks. Someone from front desk called my room asking for my credit card number because supposedly system was down. When I headed down to ask front desk if it was true, she completely ignored my question and said "I don't know, I don't know". She showed no concern & walked away. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Hotel was nice and clean, but lacking of hot water

The staff was friendly, and helpful. The room was clean and nice. My only complaint was that there was little hot water, the first day my shower was lukewarm at best, the second day, it was cooler than skin temperature.

I do apologize about the hot water issues that you experienced during your stay. We did have a malfunction with one of our boilers that was fixed immediately upon discovery. I hope that this experience does not affect your future lodging needs in the RDU/RTP area

Nice hotel close to family

Pros: see above
Cons: new no slip strips in tub would be our only comments for improvement.
Location: We saw family ask somebody else for things to do
We enjoyed the cleanliness of the room, the handicapped equipment and wide tub which made it possible for me to shower. Enjoyed the wide variety of selection at the breakfast bar, especially the hard boiled eggs and sausage gravy.

Poor staff communication, power outage

I've been a loyal customer for at least five years now, making quarterly visits for business. Mostly dependable during that time but this last visit will be my last. I had requested a king bed and when I arrived, they were out. The front desk person couldn't get me into any room and waited for what felt like 30m at 11:30pm to get my keys. He explained he could get me into a king room the next morning. Next morning, packed up, went to front desk and was denied any changes, no communication between staff, but told to check again that evening. Again denied with no communication of my request. Furthermore, a planned power outage was set for 11p-2am for maintenance! This timing seemed highly inconvenient for guests and had conversations with guests on how poorly timed that was. I'm taking my business to the Hilton.
