Good no-frills hotel

Posted Jan 2, 2017
Pros: Convenient location and reasonable price
Hotel is in a great location - convenient to everything in Wake Forest and North Raleigh. It is a basic extended stay, no-frills. Bring your own soap, shampoo and kitchen items. There is a full size refrige, stovetop and microwave. This was our 3rd stay here and rooms are always clean and comfortable. Staff is great. There is a laundry room on-site and a Sheetz right next door, great for take-outs!

Too many up sells.

Hotel staff does not really explain the fact that you have to pay an additional sum for clean towels and linen. The fact that I would have to pay a premium for clean towels is sort of weird anyway. You'd think that came with staying at a "hotel." No iron or ironing board in your room. You must go to the lobby to request a iron and ironing board in exchange for your ID. That's weird because the website specifically expresses that each room has an iron and ironing board. Also, the spring beds are terrible and pretty small. When I booked the room, I requested a Queen size bed. They said ok, but when I arrived at the facility all they had we're full sized beds. Nevertheless, you get what you pay for. For the money, this was a suitable option. Except for the terrible beds.

GOOD LOCATION

Posted Sep 7, 2016
Pros: I regularly stay with Value Place, this one meets its usual high standards of cleanliness and facilities.
Just 10 miles straight down US1 and you are in downtown Raleigh-- easy connections via 540 to I40 & 85. Wmt 4 miles away.

The hotel staff was excellent. The room itself was a little dated but was clean and better than expected for an extended stay. Overall great value and would recommend to family and friends on a budget.

Won't be back

Posted Feb 15, 2016
Cons: Communication between staff with one another & their guest.
I was checked out of my reservation, without notice. When I arrived back to get into my room ,I was notified I no longer had a room & that they were booked to capacity so they didn't know if they could get me another room, that I should hang out to see. When I was able to get in the room to get my belonging the cleaning people had went through my things & starting putting it in trash bags.

Clean, adequate hotel

Posted Apr 24, 2013
Pros: the kitchen was nice--full sized refrigerator with freezer, sink, cabinets, one drawer, and a microwave. The bed was actually quite comfortable.
Cons: limited counter space, thin walls, ugly bedding,
Location: The hotel is located in Wake Forest, just a couple minutes from Triangle Town mall. There is a sheetz gas station and fastfood in the same parking lot
We had some very loud neighbors that even had a domestic dispute. We were not very pleased with the way the hotel handled it. Our room was clean and other than having to complain about very loud neighbors, the staff was very friendly. The price is okay, its one of the cheaper extended stays but when you add it up, its still more expensive than most apartments.
