Bad Start but Nice Finish

Posted Aug 14, 2017
Pros: Complimentary breakfast Blackout Curtains Lounge Areas Kitchen inside of room
Cons: Better organization for the checking in process when at capacity.
I was quite excited about staying at this location for lots of reasons. However, the checking in process was incredibly disappointing. My party and I booked our room way in advance because we knew they would be at capacity during the time of our stay. We arrived a half hour early before check in time hoping to check in early, if not, prepared to wait a little bit. When we arrived, they told us our room was not ready, but would be soon. Long story short, we ended up waiting about 2 and a half hours until we were able to get into our room. It was very inconvenient because of our plans for that night. I even had to get ready in the lobby! I also would like to point out one particular staff at the front who was very kind, courteous, and helpful. She kept checking in on myself and my party during our wait, apologizing, and even offered us free food and beverages from their convenience/store area. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name but was very grateful she acted the way she did. I think if she had not been as hospitable, I probably would have lost it. (All I can note about her is she has long curly dark hair, fair skin, and a slight accent). Later, I spoke to a staff about the incident and was given a discount on my stay. Despite the negative start, I must say these rooms are very nice. Everything was clean, a decent size, and an overall comfortable vibe. I loved their blackout curtains! They're complimentary breakfast was good as well.

Nice hotel and room. Very clean and quiet. Close to freeway, shopping and restaurants. Bed was a little soft for us.

Breakfast Buffet was GREAT, Good location, very clean. Helpful staff. Only downside was the workout facilities which were below average - TV's on the 2 treadmills didn't work, equipment was VERY limited.

Okay for the price

The walls are truly paper thin. We heard every conversation going on in adjacent rooms and the hallway. The fire alarm went off one morning and took about 15 mins for staff to finally reset the false alarm. The room was clean and in good condition. The beds are typically what you'd find in a standard hotel. The free wifi is basic 1-2 meg speed. The breakfast was okay but nothing special. Scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns. English muffins and bagels and make your own waffle. Of course a selection of cereals too. Probably won't stay there again only because of how loud the other rooms are and how you can hear everything.
