great enjoyed the trip service was great room was spacious and very nice food was very good at the steak house and the cotton candy birthday cake was delightful

Beautiful Property

Pros: Everything was pretty much perfect
Cons: Only thing that needs improvement is the air quality in casino area
Location: Shopping, restaurants, ariel tram way are all close by. We highly recommend you visit Palm Springs downtown on Thursday nights for the street fair
Aqua Caliente was an absolutely beautiful property, the only negative comment i can make is that each evening when returning to the resort the casino did have a strong smoke smell, but each morning you couldn't smell the smoke, maybe a stronger filteration system could correct the evening issue. The staff was extremely friendly Location was perfect for our trip, close to everything we wanted too visit or attend If your looking for a special getaway i highly recommend.

Hello Richard. We're glad you thought your stay was almost perfect. First, we apologize for any discomfort from the cigarette smoke that you experienced. The casino is a smoking environment, and we do our best to attempt to segregate the floor into two areas, smoking and non-smoking. The air handlers that supply the casino floor with conditioned air are very effective at removing a majority of the smoke, but they do not remove the lingering smell and odor left behind from the smoke that has imbedded itself into the furnishings. For your information, we have just recently started installing charcoal filters into the supply side of the air handlers, to help combat the smoke issues. The Agua Caliente Casino has taken many steps to improve the air quality of the casino floor, and are constantly looking for new ways to combat the smoke issues. We hope that this one unfortunate experience does not prevent you from returning to our beautiful resort, and all of the other wonderful experiences that you could enjoy here. Again, with our sincerest apologies, we hope you would consider staying/visiting with us once more.

It's a casino.

Nice place. Typical indian casino - smell of smoke hits you when you walk in, but the smell seems to dissipate as you go upstairs. Rooms are nice. People are friendly. I was hit on by what may have been a Wednesday morning "daytime hooker" at 6am while waiting for a coffee. So that was kinda cool. Other than that, very ordinary.

Luxurious Hotel/Spa/Casino

Pros: Loved the hotel with casino, spa, and pool all together.
Location: Palm Springs offered restaurants and a variety of sightseeing. We ate at the local Triple D restaurants along with a few local favorites.
Our stay at the Agua Calienta was in ever way a most enjoyable experience. The staff personnel were most courteous and helpful and all with a smile on their face. The casino was large with game tables and slot machines and very clean. The facility had very nice restaurants with a variety of food offered. The rooms were Vegas-style - large and luxurious.

First Impressions make a difference

First impressions are critical to the customer experience. I waited at check-in for what seemed to be an eternity (realistically five minutes), with only one in front of us and already at the counter. There were three hosts (term used loosely), one lady was assisting a guest, the other on the phone, and soon to be our nightmare, a lady feverishly shuffling paper. Not one of them greated us. As I stood there with my two teenage children, bags in hand, for at least five minutes, she finally asked "are you checking in"... Note the absence of a question mark, rather an abrupt statement of inconvenience. I said yes. She said are you ready, I vollied back with a curt "we have been" and the rest is history. Our room was not ready upon arrival at 3:40 pm and all this young lady could do was provide indifference. She was rude and un-accommodating. We were told to wait and that we would be called when the room was ready; about 4pm. 4 pm came and went without a call. We were staying the hotel for my company's 4th Annual USO dinner that we host for the USO. Each year we raise over $30,000 for the local organization and are their major contributor. While I do not expect any special arrangements, I do expect a level of customer care, that is on pace with a resort such as this. When I spoke with a manager about the experience, our host stood smugly in the background. We eventually made it to our room to prepare for the evening's event however not without frustration.

Wonderful

Our room had an outstanding view of the mountains. The outdoor pool and adjacent spa facility were great! Only downside was cigarette smoke smell in lobby area that drifted in from the casino.

All in one experience!

I had an amazing experience at aqua caliente. The staff were very helpful and accmodative to make certain changed to our late check in, room upgrade etc. casino staff very helpful as well. I was there for 1 night and we had a great suite with a beautiful view, enjoyed the pool area with affordable super cocktails, great food and service at the steakhouse and finally lots of fun at night in the Casino. Definitely will go there again. Very clean and modern hotel. You’ll get all you need within the hotel.

Awesome Room

We came here for the first time to see a concert and the room and concert venue were awesome. Will definitely come back!

Room not as requested

Asked for adjoining rooms weeks in advance was told it was no problem. When we arrived no rooms. They said they could downgrade my room and they did. They never offered any compensation and charged me same amount for a lesser room. They did not care at all. Very unfeeling people at desk. She was a robot. She also said she would call when rooms were ready surprise surprise no call. Normally would not care but had the children where with us.
