Ok hotel for road trip. Recommend.

The cabin we booked looked nothing like the one we were actually given. We traveled with two young children and were placed in an outdated cabin that was not safe for families. The loft had no railing, there was an open drop from the loft into the living room, and the stair opening was a 3 ft opening in the floor that had no protective railing which is a serious fall hazard. My 7 year old couldn’t stand up in the loft so this is obviously marketed for children to sleep up there yet it was completely unsafe to even allow them to go upstairs. The cleanliness was equally disappointing. There were live and dead bugs inside the cabin, along with dirt, spider webs, dust, and even found dog food on the floor. The bed its self had a strong dog odor. The pull-out sofa in the living room was broken making it lean, and the mattress was completely worn out and flat. After an absolutely miserable first night they were able to move us to a nicer cabin (similar to pictures) the following day. While I appreciated the move, it was very disappointing that no compensation or other effort was made to address the unacceptable condition of the original cabin or the terrible first night’s experience. We were told maintenance was going to check it out later as if they were completely unaware of the safety concerns in this cabin that have been present for years. Overall this was a very frustrating situation and I did request a refund through expedia and they could only offer a $75 credit. We di

The staff was really nice and helpful. I absolutely loved the coffee maker and options. There is also a Kerig in the room. The room was clean but thin walls. Could here outside traffic and neighbors. Hallway carpet was pretty worn but clean. Will I go back..absolutely.
