Cabin in Hermosa
Beautiful quiet getaway in the Black Hills, located only 10 minutes from Custer State Park, 25 minutes from Mt Rushmore, 35 minutes from Rapid City, SD. Lots of hiking, fishing, wild life and beautiful country. Guided horse back rides offered by J & F Tails and Trails next to the property.

We have two single units that are similar to hotel style rooms. Each unit has a queen bed, double sleeper sofa, and a private bath. The units have a 4.5 cubic fridge and freezer (big – mini fridge), a coffee pot, and a microwave. There are plenty of options for cooking with a private barbecue with a side burner outside, Blackstone griddle, and the fire-pit with a cooking grate. There is a kitchenette with a sink to wash dishes. The units are stocked with both disposable kitchen wares and non-disposable coffee cups and utensils for cooking if you wish to cook in instead of eating out.

The unit has heat and air conditioning, free internet, and satellite TV. We provide bed linens, towels, and kitchen utensils. The rooms are cleaned when you check out and a one-time cleaning fee is charged. If you need additional towels or bed linens during your stay, just let us know.

The property has a fire pit for all guests enjoyment and a basketball hoop for the kids to burn off their energy.

A Quiet, Calm, and Incredible Getaway
Ghost Canyon Getaway was one of the greatest places I’ve ever stayed. The hosts were phenomenal, incredibly kind and warm. They offered me Easter dinner and company and ensured I had everything I needed for my long weekend away. The location was gorgeous and I am looking forward to going back as soon as I can. Thank you!!!

Foot Hill Paradise
Our first impression, after seeing 5.5 miles on a dirt rode, we thought horror movie for sure! Lol. The further we traveled down that rode, the more excited we were about the beauty that was waiting for us in the morning. I won’t go into details about beds, amenities, etc.. it was all perfect! Even better, the turkeys lining up to go up and roost for the night. Watching the deer come in and graze with the cattle and the horses. Even though the wind was blowing hard, the stars were brilliant, and the canyon was quiet. This was my first visit to the Black Hills, I have fallen in love and will be back for sure! Thank you for sharing your lovely place. Thank you for setting us up with the trail book and the horse back riding! Thank you Matt and Jennifer Dawn and Greg

Accident caused us to cancel
I'm sure it would have been a wonderful stay but we had an accident on the way that made our vehicle unable to make the trip. We had to cancel at the last minute. I called Matt on the road and he was very gracious and understanding. We truly hope to be able to reschedule next fall or summer. Thanks to Matt for being so understanading. We truly appreciated it and were very sorry to not be able to enjoy your hospitality!

Beautiful out of the way place to stay. Amazing views and wildlife right outside the door and back porch! The cabin was extremely clean and hosts were very friendly.
