The property was closed for several weeks. Orbitz notified me at 10 PM MT on night of hotel. We had to get another hotel at America's Best Value at twice the cost. Very disappointed that we were not notified earlier.

Do not book this hotel! It is closed and so far Expedia and Super 8 will not refund my money! They are showing it open but is locked up and has been closed for 6 months!

This hotel was booked by myself in May. We arrived at the hotel after we were charged and received numerous emails confirming the itinerary from Expedia and the hotel has been shut down since December. No one is in the building, all the doors are locked. The number has been disconnected, the hotel across the street was the one to inform us that the hotel has been shut down. How is it that we were able to book a hotel in May that has been closed months before. I will never use Expedia again to book any type of travel experience. The customer service was slow and not understanding of the situation.

AVOID AT ALL COST!
Upon arrival of this hotel at 11PM, the hotel was shut down and nobody was available to help me. Super8 did not help me either! Last time I am staying with a Super8 motel!!!!

Hotel closed!
The hotel was no longer in operation however I was still able to book this hotel. We arrived late at night after a 9 hour drive and had to attempt to find another hotel room in a city we had never been to before.

Booked an overnight stay at this Super 8 on Lacrosse Street in Rapid City SD a couple months ago. After a long drive from Minneapolis MN, we pull into the lot the evening of June 30, 2019 and see on their big sign....."Closed for the winter." Not a soul in sight. Yet Orbitz booked and confirmed our stay there just a couple months prior !!! Took about 90 minutes on several phone calls with Orbitz to get things worked out after we found another nearby location to spend the night. If you are thinking about booking this property...….DON'T !!!

I was charged for the room for three nights. We drive all day, show up and their sign says “closed for winter cleaning” it’s July So disappointing. It’s late, I have two small children and I need to find another place to stay

Hotel was closed, we got to the hotel after 7 hr drive and we find out that this hotel is closed.No one told us about it and we got charged for the rooms in advance .Expedia gave us different hotel but it took an hour to settle it.

The place has been closed since February and Orbitz booked me there. Do you know how inconvenient, actually how dangerously inconvenient, it is to show up on a busy weekend for a three night stay and have NO accommodation! I certainly didn't look to Orbitz to find another place for me to stay....

Hotel went out of business in February and Expedia booked us this hotel in May plus we had paid in full. We spent 24 minutes on phone and still did not get money back or another reservation in another hotel. Not happy🙁

This hotel had been closed for more than one year. How could Expedia have made reservation with a hotel that was not operating? I spent 3 hrs on phone trying to switch paid reservation to another Super 8 in the same town. Expedia was not helpful and repeatedly asked me to explain why I wanted to change my paid reservation. I will never deal with Expedia or Trivago again

The unique feature of this particular property is that it is NOT OPEN. We arrived seeing an empty parking lot. The office door was locked. No message posted anywhere. We are less than happy with our Expedia confirmation as we called the motel and phone was disconnected. There is NO way Expedia could have done its job. When we called for help, we could not understand anyone as none were Native American speakers.

There was no stay - arrived at hotel on designated date, lights were off, doors locked, I will never book this location again. However, I do appreciate the lady I spent an hour on the phone with at hotels.com (didn't catch her name). She helped me get a reservation at a different hotel without having to pay the difference (due to this hotel's negligence).

Booked around 9:30 pm and arrived at around 11:37 pm to find ou that the hotel had cancelled our reservation. They did give us a room (a suite with a hot tub, even), but it only had one double bed (I had booked two double beds) and we were leaving at 8 am, so having the suite with a hot tub made no difference because we wouldn't be able to use it and didn't even go into that side, except to look at it when we arrived. The breakfast was average for a continental breakfast with no hot items except coffee and tea.

It was fine. But of 10 hotels, this was the lowest on the list. Bc we booked through hotels. Com, they could not make any changes to accommodate us. Just funny bc every other hotel could, we needed handicap accessible rooms for our family, they were able to give us one rooms, but not the 2nd. At all the other hotels we stayed at, mostly super 8s, we had wonderful hot breakfast. They was by far the most simple, with only cereal, toast and eggs. They also were the only one to not have a high chair. So instead of staying there to eat woh my year old son, i took a yogart and left. EVERY OTHER HOTEL had a hot breakfast and a high chair. They were very minimal
