Nice hotel close to the beach.Posted Jul 3, 2015
Great staff, best location, love the beach. The BBQ nights are great, the sunsets amazing. Smaller, quiet hotel, without that big-resort feel. Kayaks and paddle boards included.

Great place in a beautiful setting.Posted Jun 28, 2015
Pros: Setting and great staff.
Cons: Keep doing what you are doing.
Location: Relax and good evening dining places.
The owners and the staff are absolutely great. This my 3rd trip to Rarotonga and the first time at Aroa and the service by the staff is fantastic.Drinks and meals are good and well priced. We will be back.

Brilliant hotel right on the beach.Posted Jun 16, 2015
We stayed here for 9 nights. The staff are absolutely beautiful. You are made to feel like family and being only a small hotel everybody gets to know each other and so there is plenty of interaction. You have excellant kayaking and snorkelling right at your doorstep. It is located on a lovely quiet section of bpïeach.

too short of a trip to cook IslandsPosted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: I liked the size and location right on the beach
Cons: The television and maybe the drapes, but most people don't go to the islands to watch tv , but it is nice to catch up on the news once and a while
Had a very nice time ARO'A beachside Inn, we stayed for a week ,wished it was longer , The owner and staff were all great and very helpful and accommodating. The resort was very nice, think there were about 10 or 12 units we stayed in 106 nice room. I think all the units had ocean front views that I seen. and you are right on the beach and the snorkeling is good, lots of tropical fish to see ! It's a nice place not too many people nice rooms nice owner and staff nice little bar for cocktails or beers , I would recommend this resort for anyone !

Great people running the place. Fantastic service and a great barbecue in the evening. Late flight and late check out worked really well.

Perfect place. Great staff. Snorkeling right in front. Small family owned hotel with only 12 rooms.3 nights of local entertainment and special meals. The sun goes down and a wonderful day was had by all.

Rundum sehr zufriedenPosted Feb 4, 2015 on Hotels
Der Strandabschnitt der Anlage liegt hervorragend. Bei Ebbe lässt es sich noch gut schnorcheln, es gibt viele verschieden Fische zu entdecken. Die Besitzer und ihr Team sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Dec 2014, You stayed where ?Posted Feb 4, 2015 on Hotels
The stay was to attend a family gathering, in the picture online the room appeared much larger, as in much larger. The room had a TV which never worked, two beds squished together which was a shock to me and my twenty something daughter rather than separate rooms, and that was a " what ? " right there. The other person would have to vacate the room whenever you went to the loo, otherwise majorly pongy. Would suit others maybe, wasn't really our cuppa tea so to speak, on the up side, breakfast every morning was great 8/10 on that one. Cleanliness 7/10, wasn't to bad. People (hosts / staff) always had a smile a story and a laugh to share and the gardens 9/10. I would stay there again, different room this time, remembering its the quiet side of the island, if your a party animal its not really your scene, you'd be better at one of the bigger resorts. You definitely need transport to get yourself around, scooters or car rentals are fairly cheap bout 30 bucks or something a day, and the bus stopped outside the camp gate. Overall for us about 7/10.

A piece of paradisePosted Jan 29, 2015 on Hotels
Everything you have read before in the reviews about how awesome this place is .. are true. There are new owners in place though since Dec 14 so maybe changes to come. I never found anyplace that I would rather have stayed then here for the value for money or the beach/snorkelling/sunset location or for the general ambiance given that I was travelling on my own. Eating. There is a full kitchenette in the room and breakfast is provided. If you are not wanting to cook/eat offsite there is a limited but sufficient kitchen at the hotel and there are 3 BBQ dinners offered on site/week. Drinking. There is also a very cute bar on site that was ranked in the top 10 beach bars in the world recently. Having said that.. its closed and quiet on site by 9 pm. Local alcohol prices are pricey so if you can.. bring a bottle of duty free with you or go on the local beer tour and pick up some beer for your fridge. Socialization. So as a single person - its as much socialization or as little as you want and you have lots to do and see on site.. or off.. or nothing. So it really is perfect for the solo traveller that wants to chill a bit. I think its great for the mature couple as well. Its a bit too social a setting for a romantic/honeymoon location (for me) - go to one of the outer islands if thats what you are seeking. No children under 12 allowed to stay here so its also nice and quiet here that way too.

Sunsets to die for.Posted Jan 27, 2015 on Hotels
Aroa's Beachside Inn was the first stop for us on a round the world ticket, taking in 10 countries in 3 months. On first arrival it was everything we had expected, a fabulous location right on a spectacular beach. It looked exactly as it was on the website. The new owners are new to the hospitality business and are doing a pretty good job of it, whilst on a very steep learning curve. We had a wonderful time there but are hoping that by the time we return - and return we will - the rooms will have had a bit of an upgrade, even if it is only to renew the soft furnishing which are looking rather tired. That said, we couldn't fault the service or the staff attitude in any way.
