Great looking hotel....shame about the road noisePosted Sep 19, 2017
We enjoyed a one night stay at the hotel last weekend. The staff were attentive and friendly although very short staffed on the reception desk. The look of the hotel was fantastic and the rooms were huge and very clean. The downside was that we booked a double room but ended up with two twins pushed together and the noise from the dual carriageway behind the hotel was incredibly load to the point it kept us awake most of the night. Great for a budget stay though

Its like coming home to family.....Posted Sep 4, 2017
Pros: How valued you felt by all members of staff. The decor of the hotel. Beautiful.... Where the hotel is situated in Reading.
Cons: How do you improve on perfection......
Location: The hotel is ideally situated in Reading. Every bar, restaurant and meeting spot is on its door step without taking from the splendor of the Penta.
The staff at Penta Hotel made our experience first class. The staff consistently demonstrated their ability to make my experience one of 5 stars/world class. From the manager through to the receptionist they were consistently excellent.

Nice central hotel- needs better window glazingPosted Aug 30, 2017
Stayed overnight during Reading festival. Is around a 25 minute walk away. 10 min walk from railway station. Stylish reception & bar area. Nice modern big room. What really let it down was that the room faced a dual carriageway and therefore the sound of constant traffic was extremely loud. Window glazing was appalling, and as a result woke up several times during the night.
