It was definitely my right choice.

Pros: Romantic ambiance.
Cons: The boat service to the Island. They may think of an a/c waiting room at the Jetty.
Location: Nothing much to do nearby. But for those planning for a romantic holiday, there are many things up to them.
Peaceful and romantic location for any one to spend a holiday with their partner. Well mannered & service oriented staff. Restaurants & bar have Excellent food & ambiance. We can feel the lovely touch of Mother Nature in the hotel compound. I am not a blessed writer to describe this with a poem. The presence of

Old Hotel, with old facilities.

Noisy Aircon, can't sleep. Bed was to hard, quite uncomfortable. Food really expensive. Now other possibilities to eat. Simple Breakfast.

Old hotel on an almost private island

Posted Apr 29, 2017
Prior to booking keep in mind that the hotel is 20yrs old, without renovation and a lot of stuff being fixed by personnel on-the-go. Upon arrival the proud Indian consierge will tell you that the hotel is always fully booked, which is not true even for the national holidays and peak season.. We stayed during the national holidays and it wasn't crowded at all (which is, obviously, an advantage). Beach is not so good either - so shallow, that even during the high tide it was only about 1.5m deep at the buoys. And of course there are about 20 planes/day landing/taking off right over your head. However, overall we got a pleasant experience. Personnel is friendly, they cook rather good Indian food, nature around is breathtakingly beautiful, sea and pool are warm and clean. But this is certainly not the place I'd come back to for another vacation..) Good luck!

Not upto Taj name

Posted Apr 17, 2017
Upon arrival they came and picked us up in a golf cart, nice touch. Then as we approach reception the stench of a blocked sewage line (which remained unattended the whole trip). There was hair in the bath, another on the bed sheets and on a chair in lounge. The reception staff were lovely and professional, but outside that... poor. The dinning room wait staff..... were not attentive at all, the food was ordinary. I had to clear a table for myself on two occasions, and on another the waiter gave us the menu WHILE the previous customers plates were still on the table.... and seemed to think clearing the plates was someone else's job. No milk in room, only creamer powder, breakfast coffee not worth ordering. Milk kept running out for cereal. Juice was tined juice not fresh. Room privacy- wafer thin walls, no sound barrier from room below or above. At 4am hearing the love grunts and moans from a honey moon couple below was great oh and again at 6am, as was their Muslim prayers at sunrise, could hear each word clearly..... nice...NOT! Another guest told us they had no hot water and had complained for 4 days without resolution. The location was great and getting on and off the island not a problem. Loved the local Thursday night market. Pretty spot, with some maintenance and a kick the management in the {#%*^}}! It could be a nice resort. The biggest disappointment was the TAJ name associated with this resort. Having stayed at TAJ before, we expected a lot higher standard. Shame

Ok hotel, good food but not much more...

Staff are not very friendly. Food is good. However not much of variety. The beach is quite small but clean. Biggest issue is the amount of mosquitoes on this resort. It's despite the fumigation and repellants being applied

Island retreat

The location is superb, totally idyllic. All the staff were most obliging and helped to make our stay very relaxing. The restaurant had a very good offering. A little attention to detail is required with regard to housekeeping to ensure all bathroom facilities are in good working order and light bulbs are replaced when defective. Despite any negatives this is a fabulous tropical hideaway and worthy of it's excellent rating.

An island all for yourself

Had a memorable stay during mid Mar 2017. A perfect place to unwind away from hustle and bustle of city life. Restaurant offers good variety of food.

Nice to be on a private island. Lovely room. Great view. Boat timings to the main island should be more frequent
