Close to Red Bank

Posted Sep 16, 2017
Pros: Less than 10 minutes to Red Bank.
Cons: Patrol the people with pets and make sure they pick up after them. Also, you should not have to ask for the kitchen items.
Location: Less than 10 minutes to Red Bank and Parkway.
The place is clean and comfortable enough. It's a 3 star hotel so do not expect anymore from it. The hotel allows pets. I was very disappointed in the people that do not pick up after their pets. Whatever you do, be careful walking in the grassy areas! It's also very weird that you actually have to ask for the normal kitchen items like plates, forks and knifes, a coffee maker. I maybe a little spoiled but in this day and age I don't think its a lot to ask for a HD TV. Staff was pleasant.

Nice, quiet, clean

Posted Sep 13, 2017
Stayed here for 2 nights, for a concert at PNC Bank Arts Center. Room was spacious and clean. Area was safe and quiet. Staff was friendly. Close to concert and beach/boardwalk. Check in/out was quick. Windows in room opened for fresh air. I would stay again if in the area!

Easy location and dog friendly

Posted Sep 8, 2017
Pros: Pet friendly, fairly priced, decent location.
Cons: The non smoking rooms still smelled of stale cigarettes and the hallways as well. This is the problem with smoking, the scent remains long after
The hotel staff was very nice. The hotel was also generally quiet for the location, being off a main road. The drive into Red Bank downtown is quick and easy. I needed to be near Belmar - it's also an easy drive to the Shore points. We stayed here for the location, value, and most importantly the place accommodates dogs.

Nice, cozy hotel close to beach

Posted Aug 29, 2017
Pros: See above.
Cons: Just the breakfast as mentioned above.
I thought this hotel was excellent. The lobby of the hotel was very clean and bright, and the two attendants at the front counter were friendly. There was an elevator to get to the second and third floors. My room was very clean and comfortable. It looked like the room had recently been remodeled. It included a nice large bed, and even its own little kitchen. I didn't use the kitchen during my stay because I was only here for one night, but I could see this being very convenient for someone staying longer. The room was a good size for my wife and I. And the hotel was about a 20-minute drive from Asbury Park beach and the price wasn't over-the-top especially considering what you get. All-in-all I enjoyed my stay here. My only qualm was with breakfast; it's not continental. You get a muffin. A granola bar, some coffee, and some oatmeal but that's about it. Not awful but be prepared to get something that actually fills your stomach.

Average but understaffed

Posted Aug 28, 2017
Very average hotel, front desk clerk was very nice but very busy! Not enough staff to help her. Our first assigned room, the keys didn't work, the hotels staffs keys wouldn't even get in! So we had to switch rooms, and yet again our keys didn't work! Luckily the hotels staff keys worked for this one so we got in the room but had to leave door open so we could get back in! it took 3 hours to get someone there to fix the issue! And that was the hotels manager that took that long getting there! It took well over 30 mins to get into a room because of everything going on and the front desk had zero help. She was very nice and worked hard and tried her very best

Good Location, Disappointing Room Condition

Posted Aug 25, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Cleanliness
Location: Close to Long Branch Pier Village and PNC Bank Arts Center
I stayed at Extended Stay America - Red Bank for a concert I attended at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. The locations was great - perfect distance between Long Branch beaches and the venue. However, the room condition was sub-par. The room smelled HEAVILY of spices from the time we arrived to the time we left. This was despite leaving the windows open for the entire duration of our stay (there was a blocker preventing the windows from opening all the way, which didn't help). The toilet also did not appear to have been cleaned properly which, of course, was displeasing. Overall we were not happy with the preparation of the room for our stay and felt that it should have been cleaner.

Reserved 3 non smoking rooms, two were available

Posted Aug 21, 2017
Pros: nothing
Booked three non smoking rooms throught expedia, when I arrived at the hotel the desk said that expedia booked two non smoking rooms and one smoking room even thought the reservation that I showed them had three non smoking rooms booked . Hotel insisted that expedia was responsible for the error, expedia says the hotel is at fault and now I am caught in the middle.

Pros: Nothing.
Cons: They could update and make the rooms cleaner. Use queen sized beds.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Outdated, no pool or anything to do while staying at hotel, not walking distance to anything. Full sized beds, not even queens.

Budget friendly.

Posted Jul 6, 2017
The beds and pillows were awful! I ended up at HomeGoods buying new pillows after the first night. The hotel was a short distance from a few beaches which was really nice. The small kitchenette was convenient and a nice when traveling with a family. The hotel staff was very polite. The free breakfast was just a coffee bar with oatmeal and a variety of granola bars. If your on a budget I would recommend but pack your own sheets and pillows and even a mattress topper if you can because the beds were just that bad!
