Great location, quiet rooms (even with a nightclub downstairs), super accommodating staff. We had a sink issue at check-in and Ryan got us switched to a new room right away AND brought us a mini-fridge at our request.

My three night stay at the Empress was excellent. The staff is very friendly. They called me in advance to let me know that the elevator was out of service and they were waiting for a replacement part. I really appreciated that. My double queen room was spacious and clean. The front desk provided a mini fridge upon my request. The Friday night drag show was excellent. I took advantage of the complimentary continental breakfast on Sunday-bagels, yogurt and more. Just be aware that if you stay here there is a club on the first floor and if you are in a room on that side of the hotel you’ll hear music till wee hours. I was in town for music and partying so it did not bother me in the least! Kevin, the bartender, was a real sweetheart.

This is an old building, it reminded me (fondly) of my grandparents’ homes and it helped me relax for the evening. There is a sort of… vintage feel to the place although the lobby of VERY modern and updated. The staff was wonderful and sweet and I appreciated their hospitality.

Other than my coffee maker didn't work, the hotel was excellent, the staff, the location, everything was perfect & I can't wait till next summer to book a weekend getaway & get in that pool & Tiki bar! 5-stars

I liked that it was so close to so many restaurants and entertainment venues and that it had entertainment on site. I thought it was odd that the pool closed for the season on September 10th. It seems arbitrary and not in tune with the temperatures (it was hot!).

I loved my stay. The location was ideal. The pool and club were fun. The staff were wonderful! My room was spacious and clean. The balcony was great. (I just wish there had been some chairs…)

The hotel has a great location for enjoying the beach, Asbury Park and nearby Ocean Grove. We could walk to almost everything. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff is wonderful and we had good maid service. My only issues with the Empress are the cheap towels they use in the bathroom, the unreliable wi-fi and crappy television with few channels. But the great staff made up for those things.
