“We got so lucky finding availability here! Everything was amazing. We loved the location, which was only a few minutes down the road from Timberline and Canaan, and the gas fireplace in our unit. This was especially enjoyable after we visited the hot tub and made a mad dash back in the snow ! We were big fans of the game room too. Highly recommend this place!”

“Probably one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. Clean, great location, peaceful, and the host even decorated for the holidays. The only iffy part of the experience was that the water left a bit of a residue, almost like the soap never fully rinsed off when washing your hands. Not really a complaint but if anyone else stays and experiences this know it’s likely just a water softener and not something gross or scary. ”

“As always great stay, great responsive hosts. There were 6 of us, 3 adults and 3 kids. If this cabin is designed for 6 people I would recommend the host to add 3 chairs to the dining table. Otherwise everything worked great!”

“We’ve been coming to Davis for a long time but this was our first time staying in Black Bear. The Bear Lair was perfect for our stay. Clean, well decorated, well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and plenty of firewood. The central location was great as we bounced between Dolly Sods, Timberline, White Grass and downtown Davis. Abby was super responsive and accommodating. We definitely plan to return. ”
