It wasn't until we arrived in Red Deer that I found out that the soccer team had changed their hotel location - so I was booked at the Baywood when the team, and my daughter were not staying there. I tried to appeal to the Baywood for a cancellation but they would not agree to it using the reason that they were full and no longer could rent out the room. This was funny as they did offer me an upgrade (so a room was available) and when we could not get into our room (keys would not work after several tries) they provided us a different room (so they were not sold out) The room was clean but a bit old - the tv was small and the reception was very poor - very hard to see the picture. The room that we finally ended up in was right by the elevator so was incredibly noisy - although by 11 it did quiet down.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am sorry to hear that your recent experience at our hotel was disappointing, and I apologies for all the inconvenience that it may have caused.
We always try to accommodate guest's request as much as possible, but sometimes reservation conditions do not allow us to make a cancellation. Our hotel is currently under renovations, and while the courtyard area of the hotel has been updated, we still have some rooms that are in the process of being renewed.
Once again, please accept our sincere apology. Although we, unfortunately, did not meet your expectations during your last stay I hope that you could give us another chance in the future so we can try our best to improve and deliver an outstanding service you truly deserve.
