The overall condition of the hotel is poor. When we drove up to it we couldn't believe this was the right hotel.
The parking lot needs repaving. My husband stayed there on numerous business occasions when it was the Red Deer Lodge. He was horrified at the current condition. The picture on the website misrepresents this hotel. The carpet around the pool has holes and is ripped in places. However, the saltwater pool was in good shape. Our room's hvac wasn't working. Even though staff attended to our issue, there was nothing they could do for us except bring us a portable fan. The room was on the third floor adjacent to the pool. It felt like a sauna. The toilet tank was sweating and the toilet leaked every time it was flushed. The free breakfast was fine. The damage deposit of $100 charged to our credit card upon check-in was not credited back to us upon check-out. Staff informed us then that it can take up to 5 business days to receive our credit. This hotel needs major renovations throughout. We don't understand how Wyndham can be associated with this complex.
