"The family arrived and my husband was charged for the pre-paid room. He was refunded after he pointed out that it was pre-paid. There were someone elses clothes and personal items in the bathroom, which he took to the front desk. The room reeked of stale smoke. (We booked non-smoking) The entire place was under some kind of shoddy renovation. The entry door had a 1" gap along the top edge. The walls were very thin and the entire place was very noisy. The beds were not good. The family actually ended up sleeping in their clothes because overall, it was so bad."

I travel for work on a budget and have booked similarly priced hotels in red deer before to great disappointment and feeling unsafe and unclean. This motel didn’t have any of that and was the same price. This will be the motel I stay in in red deer moving forward. "
