Awesome stay.

Posted Aug 18, 2016
Pros: Location, staff
Cons: Menu items in adjoining restaurant were high. Would have been nice to see a bigger menu with more affordable entrees.
Location: Hiking, walking paths, tourist town, near entrance to Yellowstone Park.
Our room overlooked creek - left door open to listen to this "water feature". What a beautiful setting. Quiet evening despite wedding celebration downstairs. Staff were very friendly. They helped accommodate caring for sick daughter. Handy kitchenette. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Pleasant one-night stay

Posted Aug 5, 2016
Pros: The setting is beautiful.
Cons: Need to bring up to today's standards.
NIce, but needs some investment. Need air conditioning in this day and age. Slight odor in the hallways and room.

Wonderful! Great view; nestled in the mountains

Posted Aug 1, 2016
Pros: The views, nestled in mountains, the sound of the river
Cons: Everything was pretty much great except phone reception - no cell service except on the road
Location: In the mountains - hiking, skiing
Really nice, lodge-style resort tucked in the mountains. Saw two bear cubs just down the road and lots of deer. Loved the balcony overlooking the river. Balconies facing the pond were also nice. Pool was huge / nice and warm. Grounds well-maintained and the room was clean and comfortable with a really nice/simple kitchenette area if you want to eat in. Wish we could have stayed a few days there instead of just one. I hope to return again. We did a trip around Yellowstone/Tetons and I think I enjoyed my stay in this area the best of my trip.

Cons: There was no air conditioning, just a fan. Being from the south, A/C is a must. However, the night was cooler and the fan did just fine.
Stayed in Red Lodge, MT after riding motorcycles across Beartooth Pass. We stayed in the Grizzly section. No elevator. Front desk very pleasant and helpful. Would stay again.

Beautiful older resort Gorgeous location

Posted Jul 19, 2016
Awesome place except the sprinklers sprayed my motorcycle while parked in the lot. Not cool Also my room 261 had no screen. No maintenance around in Sunday so the front desk clerk found one and installed it for me. No food available on Sunday

Nice but Isolated

Posted Jul 13, 2016
Nice site but limited recreation and dining options. I stayed on Sunday and Monday and many things were closed. I wanted some home cooking and the front desk told me Red Lodge Cafe. I went to town and it was closed. She also told me about the Yellowstone Wildlife sanctuary. It was closed on Mondays as was the historical museum. Facilities somewhat out dated. No Air conditioning just a box fan.

Nice hotel in beautiful environment

Posted Dec 19, 2014
Pros: Room, surrounding mountain environment.
Cons: Staff need training in customer service.
Location: Red Lodge is 5 minutes away and has great shopping opportunities; hiking is wonderful and they have a ski area close by.
We attended a wedding at the resort so we stayed for two nights. The room was large with a nice balcony. Our son and daughter-in-law went with us and the room easily accommodated all of us. The beds were great so we slept well. Our only concern was with the staff. They were not particularly helpful when asked questions. For example, we need a cart to move our luggage back to the car and were told to "look for one - maybe at the end of the halls. No help was offered and the clerks didn't have time to help us although they seemed to be just talking and standing around.
