Super vacation hotel!

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Seems like they are always working to improve --- staff we worked with were very nice and accommodating!
Cons: The pillows are too large and too full --- a variety of pillows would have been nice! Mattress was a bit soft too!
Location: Location is good --- easy to find. Close to downtown area and various casinos and restaurants, as well as Sparks and Victorian Square.
Beautiful facility --- nice staff --- good buffet --- we'll come back!

OK stay at GSR

Posted Aug 30, 2015
Pros: Plenty of places to eat. Nice to have bowling and movie theater on premise.
Cons: Was a little confused on the self parking areas. Some areas were reserved with special designations that I did not understand.
This was our first time staying here since it was converted from the old Reno Hilton Resort. Liked it a lot. The swimming pool was the big draw for our kids. We upgraded on the room once we got there. Room was spacious and clean.

Nice Hotel with wonderful view of Reno City

Posted Aug 28, 2015
Excellent, I had work all that day and came to check in and they upgrade me to a suite on the top floor with a beautiful view of downtown Reno. I like the fact the had a gym where I workout, then went back to my room and shower. I wanted something like to eat and I went to their Coffee Shop and got and egg white omlete which youcan build your own. I also like that its right next to the Reno Airport and very easy to return your rental car , which is just across the street from the Airport.

Tired, hungry and needing to relax.

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Traveling all day and was ready to eat, shower and relax. Found the best deal on Expedia and went with it. Clean, comfortable and staff was great. Had a great meal, hot shower and climbed into a comfortable bed to relax. Woke up 7 hrs later feeling great! Everything I wanted and at the best price.

Great shows/Nice Casino, but ignorant staff

Posted Aug 26, 2015
I've always liked the Grand Sierra Casino. There is a lot to do there with a movie theater that has couches, a bowling alley, a huge arcade, a driving range, great toy store, neat other stores, STARBUCKS! And a great casino with one of the best poker rooms. Their rooms are ok. Nothing spectacular. The $20 "resort" fee is a rip off . I'm not happy with their staff at check in. They acted like we were "bothering" bothering; then and they don't know the laws in regards to ADA and service dogs, they are ignorant. I booked a king room. We got there and they stated that the king room was not a guarantee, the only ones were available were two queens. I asked about an upgrade and she said a $40 extra charge. Then she said, if you have a service dog, we could have 2 king beds and a $100 deposit for the dog to get a "red" leash. I told her that she can't do that for a service animal. She acted like we peed in her frosted flakes. Terrible customer service. And then room service gave us crap for ordering dessert later in the night. I was floored. This is why I visit the Grand but stay at the Peppermill.

The staff were all friendly and helpful!

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: The staff were really pleasant and helpful!
Cons: I cannot think of anything?
Location: Not applicable.... Had a Reno friend take me places.
I enjoyed my stay! The hotel had a 24-hour snack bar which had my favorite food...popcorn! The bar in the pool was a pleasant place to sit and be outside, and yet be under shade! It was easy to find everything in the hotel! I ate at the Italian and the Asian restaurant and enjoyed them both.
