Reno Hotel Rooms at the Independent

We love GSR. The only drawback during this last stay was that the mattresses need to be replaced-- they both were sagging on the side where people would sit, ie., next to the nightstand between the two. In the past, though, the mattresses were fine. Just think they need to update.

Blown away how beautiful the room was! We came during the week and they upgraded our room. I had room service for breakfast and everything was perfect. Such a great experience! We will be back!

This was the best price for a last minute hotel booking we could get in DT Reno. For the price and timing it did the job. Biggest complaint was that we booked a king non-smoking and it wasn't available when we arrived.... BOY DID THAT ROOM SMELL LIKE CIGS!...

It was good overall. I thought the room was going to be more spacious based on the pictures but it wasn’t that big. The bathroom was clean but the toilet had some dirty areas. I was expecting a little more based on the price but it was okay!

Basic room, friendly helpful staff, great location.

Beautiful decor, all the amenities you need, great location, quiet and clean and if you need your gambling fix, El Dorado is across the street.

We gave the hotel and casino a second chance at changing our minds, But it left us disappointed. Our second trip and the room was older. Shower was coming apart and their second floor elevator must be on the back end of its life

We had valley view and it is so good. Loved the complimentary breakfast. Clean room. If are hungry late night the Asiago's Deli delivery to your room.

Room was lacking basic maintenance such as burned out light bulbs, a towel hook missing in the bathroom, and a door lock that needed repair. Otherwise, an okay place to stay.

This accommodation is a condominium and not a hotel. It has no dining facilities, no laundry service, washing machines, no room service, no concierge, no fitness facilities, etc. Definitely not worth the price.

The reception at Squaw Valley Lodge was excellent! Great service, perfect location for the slopes and super comfortable rooms. I highly recommend this place!

Clean but needs an update. A bit overpriced for what it is.

Nice, easy, close to highway I-80 makes getting to anywhere very simple. Some surprises: this is a time share property, so be prepared for a sales pitch or at the very least a request for you to listen to one. We drove to Northstar from Sacramento, so not a far drive. I called ahead to see if we could check in early (before 4pm) and were told no that wouldn't be possible. Beds were hard, pillows were thin and smelled of sweat or body order. Portable heater in wall went on and off all night. Cigarette butts littered the stairs. When I saw "cabin" I thought cabin. It was not.
