Beautiful hotel, but...........Posted Nov 27, 2015
My wife and I have stayed here 3 times this year, but probably won't be back. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is great, the food is great, but the ventilation in the casino is horrible. The smell of smoke is terrible, even for a casino. We ended up gambling most of the time at other casinos. I hope they get this fixed, we really enjoy this place otherwise.

Good valuePosted Nov 25, 2015
Pros: Staff, room, price.
We stopped at Peppermill on the way to Mammoth Mountain. The staff was very nice and the rooms were very comfortable. The price we paid was simply great value. Recommend it to anyone looking for a 1-2 night stay in the area.

Dirty rooms in a dirty part of townPosted Nov 25, 2015
Pros: Close to family we were visiting and close to Tahoe. But there are probably better options in the area.
The room was somewhat dirty and the whole place is well past its prime. We saw repair men running in and out of the restaurants with tools while we were dining and all throughout the hotel and casino trying to hold the place together. Out room looked onto the top of the roofs of the hotel buildings which were cluttered with garbage and broken lights. There are several restaurants in the hotel which all seemed overpriced and the ones we tried were not as good as what you can get at your local chain diner. The bed was average to a little below average. You pay almost $20 a night for a "resort fee" and get literally nothing for it. You will pay for literally every activity you want to do except for the pool. But who wants to use the outdoor pool on a 50-degree day in Reno.

Pepermill RenoPosted Nov 25, 2015
We were in the West wing which was as far away from everything as you could get and I belive the original building we stayed in 25 years ago. Walls were paper thin and seemed to be where all the partiers were staying. I used points to book and should have done more research before i booked. Fair warning to other travellers, do not book the west wing or even the north wing.

Pros: Everything! Very Classy.
Cons: I would offer a discount for the Grand Suites that have a view of the parking garage. Room 439. That was horrible!!!!
Location: O'Cleary's is fantastic across the street!!
Very nice hotel and the wait staff is incredible!

Rude staffPosted Nov 22, 2015
Upon checking in the staff was rude and it didn't get better from there. We felt like we were a burden by staying there. Th è room had a king bed but only 1 coffee cup and 1 drinking glass. It was ridiculous

Most beautiful hotel in RenoPosted Nov 20, 2015
This was our first staying here and it was by far the nicest hotel we have stayed at in Reno. It was in the category of an upscale hotel in Las Vegas. Our suite was gorgeous. The only problem we had was the iron was broken. I was also disappointed that they did not offer my husband anything special for his 50th birthday after I had requested it. We really wanted to go the Edge nightclub as well and they advertised that it opened at 10 pm but after waiting by the door for 1/2 hour they told us they weren't opening until 10:30.

We chose the Peppermill Resort and Spa for our 20th Anniversary, and we were very pleased. The staff was helpful, the Casino life was fun, and the food choices were above and beyond. I would have like too have know ahead of time about the Bullet and Bites event, to have added it to our plans, it looks like fun. Overall, it was a pleasing experience, no negatives.
