Convenient hotel for drivers just outside center

Posted Sep 21, 2016
Pros: Parking, location, comfort
Cons: Since there is little interaction with hotel staff it would just be good to know when they plan to come to change towels and such.
Location: Location not easily walkable to much except a few places to grab a bite to eat. Easily driveable to downtown.
The hotel is not easily walkable to downtown Reykjavik, but the free parking makes this a very easy place to stay if you're mostly planning on driving around Iceland. For the time you do spend in Reykjavik, it's a very short drive to the city center and local attractions, so convenient provided you have transportation. There's also a bus line outside. Facilities themselves are no-frills but decent.

Not what was expected

More of a rooming house. Room for 2 with bunkbed was the size of a jail cell. Very disapponting.

No frills but very clean. Helpful staff. Quiet, close to sites. Couple of good places to eat nearby.

Comfortable but stink

Posted Aug 31, 2016
The room was comfortable enough but the water smells like eggs. The only point but significant to improve.

Weird Hotel

Posted Aug 31, 2016
This hotel is in a strange location and check in is very confusing. There is no reception and everything is very unclear- like parking The location is not ideal as it is outside Reykjavik. The rooms are small and the interior is very dreary. I would prefer to stay in a hostel.

Hotel alejado del centro, para tener vehiculo

Posted Aug 26, 2016 on CheapTickets

Close to main roads. Kitchenette perfect size.

Close to grocery store and kitchenette helped make our trip homey and affordable. Close to walking trails. Friendly staff. Good location. Restaurants in walking distance. Close to routes 41, 49 & 1 if you want to sightsee by car.

Basic. Not in the city centre but ideal if with a car. About 7 minutes drive to the town. Parking available. Strong wifi signal. Comfy bed. Quiet. Nearby fastfood and supermarket. Space in the room is a bit tight. No TV.

Hotel that is not worth the price

Posted Aug 11, 2016
The beds were comfortable, and the rooms were well furnished, but the shower layout was awful (we waited an hour to get into one of the TWO only showers on the floor) and the room was fairly clean, except for a few spots where it hadn't been touched for a while. Check-in was easy, and we weren't bothered by anybody. Overall a good experience, but not worth the price-tag.
