Hotel stay

Posted Jul 27, 2016
The hotel is nicely located in the center of Reykjavik but the room is tiny. The photos online are misleading. The hotel has narrow steps up and you will need to carry your luggage up one floor to the elevator. Not handicap accessible. The breakfast was good, the room is clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is also location on a pedestrian only road so you will have to walk about two blocks to and from your hotel for pick ups and drop offs.

Nice hotel and convenient location

The staff were very helpful. The room was very small per American standards. The picture on the website of the outside of the hotel doesn't seem to match the reality.

Very central hotel.

Posted Jun 29, 2016
Pros: Location and breakfast
Cons: Update the showers. Very loose on walls with the tiles needing a thorough bleaching and scrubbing.
Location: Central. Hotel's pick up point changes when Lauguvar st gets closed during summer and the pick up point changes. We were not advised of this at all.
Hotel is very central and has a great location so walking to the main city parts was so easy. The hotel has very steep steps which need to have a hand rail to make getting in so much easier. I am an able bodied person and i found them to be steep and difficult. The breakfast was excellent with ample choice for even the fussiest eaters like me. However the coffee and hot water for tea need regular replenishing to keep the water/coffee hot.

Hotel doesn't has restaurant ,shower area is small

Posted Jun 15, 2016
Pros: Convenient to walk around downtown and most of interesting points. Staff people are so nice, helpful and friendly. Close to Tours Bus meeting point.
Cons: Breakfast may starts at 6:30 A.M. instead of 7:00 A.M. because some day tours pick up at 7:00 A.M. Shower area needs more space.
Location: Perfect to near downtown area and some Interesting points. Closer to all Tours bus pick up point.
The hotel bathroom has a shower area too small, same size in cruise ship. Breakfast buffet has no hot meal, but basic continental breakfast with variety. Entry hotel door is narrow and it has 6 or 7 steps up...inconvenient for moving luggage up and down to street level . Near all pick up point for day tour sightseeing. Staff people speaks English fluently and very helpfull. Television has only 3 or 4 local channels, NO International CNN.

Excellent location, but parking was an issue.

Posted May 9, 2016
Pros: Location, breakfast and the front desk staff.
Great staff, location and breakfast. Parking was a bit of a problem, but the location made up for it. The hotel was on the street of the parade which made it very convenient.
