Entire property was spotless. The breakfast was cereals, breads, meat, cheese, fruit, orange juice, and coffee. We had a room with a shared bath. Our floor had 8 rooms and each group of 4 had their own kitchen area, bathroom, and two showers. All areas were clean and modern. I had concerns about shared areas but after staying here, they were unfounded. I would happily stay here again, sharing areas. Hostess was friendly and helpful. We missed our initial reservation due to a cancelled then delayed flight. I emailed and asked if our non-refundable reservation could be moved, and she did. That was much appreciated. The room was quiet.

The staff was very accommodating when we checked in off hours and was super friendly and informative about the town. Highly recommend this property! It is beside the church in the middle of town which made it very easy to navigate back to the property when we left to sight-see. And it was near a great little pizza place!

I wasn’t sure what I was going to find when I booked here but I must admit it’s great if you are on a budget & awesome location to to walk around or take bus 8 to excursions across the street at the church location. The rooms are simple, no refrigerator but clean & bed is comfortable. I stayed in the room with its own bathroom but I did book an extra day early in another room sharing bathrooms and if I had to do it again , I would it was perfect. You have your own bedroom and just share bathroom. Don’t hesitate book it 😌

Location of hotel was great with shops, restaurants and sights nearby. We had a medical emergency while staying there and the staff helped us find a local dentist and ordered a car for us. They were very willing to help us in any way that they could.

Guesthouse Sunna is located in a very convenient place for shopping, dining, and transportation. We also felt safe to stay here and it's right next to a famous landmark.

Friendly staff and delicious continental breakfast with fresh bread. I had a simple bedroom with a private bathroom--very clean. The water temp in the shower was only up to 38 degrees C and no coffee/tea in the room. Otherwise, it was everything I needed!

Great spot for maximum walkability
Clean, comfy, and central, perfect for a solo traveler who wants prime access to the heart of the city. They have a small parking lot on site but it fills up fast! Would definitely stay here again.

The property itself is fine. Great location for exploring the city and only minutes from a stop for the Flybus. Very clean, has kitchen facilities ; microwave, sink and kettle as well as cutlery. They checked me in super early which was great. My one criticism is that when i arrived to drop off my bag, there were 2 ladies sitting in the breakfast area. I thought they were guests so after standing around waiting for someone to come, and ther3 being no bell at reception. I went over to ask if they knew where the staff were. They told me they were staff and one came to check me in but they were quite happy to leave me standing in reception until i approached them.

The property was clean and cozy. Nothing fancy but we didn't stay in the room much. The bus stop and day-trip pickups are 1/2 block away so location was very convenient.

I liked that Guesthouse Sunna is so conveniently located in the “heart of the city” close to the interesting sites in Reykjavik including the iconic church. The front desk staff was very helpful & accommodating. However, I have to mention that it’s the first hotel that I’ve ever stayed in where a bath soap, shampoo, & conditioner were not provided! I was quite disappointed about this.

This is a wonderful guest house. Very clean. Friendly staff. Were willing to help with the smallest of details. Location is perfect. Close to bus stops and main business areas. Very convenient for us since we either walked or rode the bus for our 4 days there.

The staff charged us a higher amount during check-in. I asked her to void it and charge the correct amount. Instead she claimed she would refund us the difference. It had been ten days, I still did not see the refund show up on my credit card. I filed a dispute with my credit card company.

My husband and I weren't able to stay here due to a family illness back home. I had hoped for more grace and understanding from management considering I cancelled over a week in advance, but they were very strict in their cancellation policy. I was given not a penny in reimbursement with my mother in law in hospital back in Canada. It was a very disappointing experience being out over $450. Life happens and it would have gone a long way to have had some compassion and empathy in our difficult situation, even for a small portion of our stay to be reimbursed.

This is the place to stay when you want to be in the center of it all without being on the main street, and have parking for your car. It was quiet, quaint, clean, and cozy.
