The Hotel Borg was a luxurious and kind place to stay. Everyone was helpful as we celebrated my nephew's birthday late at night. Everything was wonderful.

Short city stay before our circumnavigation of Ice

Hotel has a terrific location on the square & near a number of good restaurants. Hotel staff very friendly & helpful. Only problem we had was the temperature & lack of ventilation in our room. There's no fan & one window opened only a crack. Our room faced west & got quite hot (hard to believe but yes!) Why not replace ceiling light fixture with a combination light/fan?? Problem solved!

Nice Hotel

The hotel itself is very nice. Room service, however, is terrible. The delivery people are rude and incompetent and the food is inedible. I emailed the manager immediately to let him know and got an inadequate response many days later. Room service is a real issue for a hotel of this caliber.

Very noisey room in the hotel.

On arrival, I had suitcase and a young child with me. No help was offered to me. The staff was very passive and not enged in anyway. Our room 103 was on the first floor above the bar. The room was cluttered with big furniture and an unexceptionable bathroom. We had terrible problem with the cracking and popping noise from the windows panels all day long. The child bed was a cheap springy camp bed. Very uncomfortable! It also makes loud noise whenever my child moves. For £500/$650 per night, it's absolutely not worth it. Will not return.

Avg hotel with poor customer service

I would not recommend this hotel. First of all it extremely pricey for what you get...it's just an average hotel. It's loud at night as there is a lot of night life in the street below. Toilet set was broken. Floors was unkempt and old. For 500 a night I think it is a huge gouge on the public. In addition, my flight was canceled due to weather and I arrived a day late and the staff had absolutely no remorse and charged me the full price. No free hotel spa service.nothing. I would devotedly not recommend this hotel.

Beautiful, comfortable hotel in the center of town

Hotel Borg was perfect for us: large room, totally clean and spotless, super comfortable bed, and spacious bathroom. Located overlooking a small green, with a convenient location in center of town -- walking distance from main sights, shopping, and the tour bus stops. I rely on the front desk staff for help with restaurant reservations, phone calls to confirm tours, city information, etc, and I found Hotel Borg's staff to be 100% professional, courteous, and truly helpful. Loved this place and will stay there again.

Solo 65yr old and Borg Hotel

Very nice classic boutique hotel. Expensive for this level of hotel. Upscale and very nice. Reykjavik hotels all are very pricey. Location is very best for tourism. Restaurants being newly renovated. Shud be better when re opened. All in all, an upscale good choice. Just Don t compare to 4 or 5 star USA resort and you will have a pleasant stay. I wud use Borg again for sure.
