Large hotel that is trying to rise to elite status. Good breakfast. The room I was first assigned to was in the basement. It was depressing and dark The view out the window was staging set up in an alley. It would have been much better used a a storage room.. I went to the front desk and was reassigned to a better room. It was an impersonal hotel and for the price I could have done much better.

Room was clean, location is 5 mins walk from the shopping area. Breakfast is good, view of the rooms are not! Our bathroom door could not get locked or even closed! Fridge was not cold.. bed was comfy and clean.

The staff were very friendly and professional. The rooms were a bit too hot and there wasn't much ventilation, but the beds were comfortable and the place was clean.

Great location in the city. The beds were really narrow though, the plugs to recharge phones were inconvenient, the breakfast was really weak and lots of tours stay here good price for location

The property was very clean and well maintained, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very well stocked, clean and fresh. 10-15 minute walk to museums and other attractions but there are plenty of cute shops along the way to enjoy.

Iceland was amazing and so was Hotel Klettur!
We had a wonderful stay. The staff was amazing and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and the location was right near everything without the chaos of being right on the main street. We always went to breakfast which was a great starting point for the day and enjoyed several nights in the bar before bed.

Everything went very well at your hotel Klettur. I have no complaint at all and I would recommend others to use your place. The room was very clean and the breakfast room provided a variety of options in food and beverage. Thanks for a great stay .

The room was quiet and comfortable. The black out curtains were great. I was pleased with a hair dryer and shampoo and conditioner. The hot pot worked for my coffee. Staff was great. I enjoyed wine from the place to buy food/wine at the desk. The hotel is close to everything I needed and I walked. The elevator was slow and very busy at certain times. I used the stairs.

This is a great hotel in an excellent location. It is a value for price paid. Very clean, comfortable rooms. Good breakfast. It was the best hotel experience we had this particular trip to Iceland. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cozy hotel with a great location near the center
The rooms are rather small but comfortable. We spent a single night here to explore Reykjavik and the main selling point for us was the walking distance from the center and the port. The breakfast was nothing special but with plenty of choice.

Plus and minus during unusable times
I started my stay at the very beginning of changes happening in Iceland by the time I left it was ghostly. Through it all the staff really tried to be helpful. The room was a bit rundown with marks on the wall and no luggage stand. I found the room clean. The breakfast was ok but they had to make some changes due to government rules. Nice to have oatmeal to start the chilly day. For my early departure to the airport they gave my a bag breakfast to take with me. I found it helpful that a discount grocery is nearby. Walking to all the major sites was a good walk. The airport shuttle and tour companies have this hotel on their pickup list.

Lovely and clean hotel. Breakfast was good with different variety. Not far from main strip and the harbour which was really good. Cleaning staff and restaurant staff nice. Tourist Info not very smiley!

The hotel is very convenient in Reykjavik and does a good job. Staff were good, underground parking and clean. No big frills but that’s ok.

Nice hotel
Great hotel. Friendly staff. This was an easy walk to town. I enjoyed the breakfasts and the room was comfortable. The staff was very helpful in some last minute tour and transfer bookings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Klettur. Check-in was good, room was clean and we had all we needed. Staff is I must say amazing. I was unlucky and dropped my Ray Ban sunglasse's through the crack floor in the elevator and they were nice enough to retrieve it for me the next day. Really was amazed that they were able to find them and miraculously they were still in good shape lol. Another thing is that the breakfast for a 3 star hotel was rather delicious and had lots of variety. We had early excursions and breakfast normally starts at 7 but you were able to get it much earlier than that. Would really recommend this hotel to anybody coming to Iceland 👍👍👍

Excellent stay!
Excellent stay. The staff was very frendly and helpful. The room is basic but it's more than ok for people that don't plan to stay in their room for a long time. Very clean in general. Cental location is beneficial as it is around 20-25 min walking to the city centre. Breakfast was nice but could do with a bit more variety. One minor thing I didn't like that there was only one type of eggs (boiled) and they were cold. In general I would stay there again for sure, considering the low price for the room too.

The room smelled, came with one chair, and had minimal amenities. The hotel has an underground garage with free parking. It’s located at the outskirts of downtown, so it’s easy to find. But the area is rather blah, and there’s not much for a tourist to walk to. The staff is very congenial and helpful.

Great Hotel and Great Value
The hotel was very modern despite outward appearances. The room was comfortable but stayed too warm during most of the day. The open window was not enough to keep the room cool. The breakfast was pretty good and typical for any accommodation in Iceland. Coffee should have been free all day, not just at breakfast. Staff was pretty friendly and helpful when needed.

Room is good, well located. Breakfast is very good with a good variety. The last da we stayed, we had to leave very early to the airpoort and they made our breakfast available at 5:30am so we could have it before we left. Only down side is that parking is limited and on a first come first serve basis. There are only 26 parking slots in the garage for abour 160 rooms. I didnt know it until I got there the first day and having to drive around to find a place to park.I dont remember that this information was clearly disclosed when I booked. So be aware of it. Other than that, it was a really good stay.
