Pleasant accommodation in Reykjavik. Unlike other similar places, it did not provide breakfast, but the breakfast buffet in the restaurant in the hotel was good, albeit expensive. There is no parking except local street parking which is metered parking and easy to get a parking ticket.

Lovely hotel, great location!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 days and loved it. The hotel is nice and clean, and the location is perfect for walking around the city. We also loved that the cafe - C is for Cookie is right across the street.

Nice boutique hotel in the center of Reykjavik

Posted Jul 26, 2016
Pros: The hotel had an ideal location, just a 2-3 minute walk from all the restaurants and shops in Reykjavik.
Cons: Should put a safe in each room and also have electronic keys for the room--each room currently gets a physical key to open the door
Location: There are a lot of little shops and restaurants to explore around and the harbor is a 5-10 minute walk with an opera house that has a lot of shows.
The overall experience wasn't bad. The hotel itself is very small, so the elevator was tight and the rooms were small but it also gave it a nicer feel. There were 3 of us in a "junior suite" which was really 2 double beds pushed together and we got a cot. The hotel didn't have a concierge, but a few of the people working at the front desk knew about things to do in Iceland and easily helped us book tours. No AC or heating in the room, and as cold as Iceland is, it got really hot sometimes in such a small room. Breakfast was expensive and not particularly amazing--better to go grab something at a local cafe. There was also a lot of street parking nearby, as the hotel is in a residential area of the city.

Good Location

Posted Jul 25, 2016
Pros: Location. Easy alking distance from the center of town, but a couple blocks away, so not noisy.
Hotel is clean and in a good location, but Iceland is not the home of fine hotels. Tourism is new to Iceland and they haven't gotten customer service down yet. The front desk staff were polite, but not outgoingly helpful. The room was simple and tasteful, but spare. The breakfast was ridiculously expensive. Ended up costing $25 for a couple of hard boiled eggs and a croissant, since as a vegetarian, I wasn't interested in meat or fish for breakfast but you get a buffet, regardless of what you eat.

Loved the location of this hotel. Check-out hours were great. Very mod and spacious unit. Top shelf! You want to stay here - especially with a bigger travel group.

Boutique hotel centrally located

Posted Jul 3, 2016
Pros: The hotel staff was great, although limited to one or 2 front desk workers.
Cons: Add a safe to the room.
Location: Located close to restaurants and shopping.
The room size was comfortable for 2 guests. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The adjoining restaurant Snaps was very busy in the evening and difficult to get a table. The food was quite good. The room lacked a safe.

In the City Center

Odinsve hotel is a small older hotel but quite clean and nice. It is in the heart of the city center. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in easy walking distance. The staff were very helpful. The attached restaurant, Snaps, was great but pricey.
