Warning: Pet-Lovers Hotel

We didn't realize when we booked our stay that La Quinta was a pet-lovers hotel. If there was any indication of that on the Expedia site, it wasn't noticeable. The outside of the hotel is beautiful, and the lobby looked nice, but our allergies kicked in within less than one minute of walking into the building, as a guest was walking two dogs through the lobby. We canceled our reservation and got out of there immediately. The clerk was nice, but explained that she couldn't refund our money because we paid through Expedia, so we would have to get our refund from Expedia. That wasn't a problem--our money was refunded by Expedia and we went to a different hotel. But one of us ended up needing breathing treatments for her allergic reaction to the pet dander we encountered in the lobby. In order to submit this critique I was required to rate the room cleanliness and comfort, so I gave them 3's, but I really don't know what they are like because we didn't get that far.

Thank you for taking the time to share about your recent stay. I am sorry to hear that it was so brief, but am glad that the clerk was able to direct you to Expedia to cancel your room with no fees.
I do apologize that Expedia's website was unclear on our pet policy. La Quinta as a brand, is all pet-friendly. I do apologize that you were not able to stay with us. I do hope that you are feeling better though. Thank you again for your feedback.
