Was ok; Would not stay here again, however.

Posted Aug 2, 2016
Pros: They had a room available; room was clean.
Cons: The King bed was a joke. I really don't think it was a King bed at all; way too small. More comfortable pillows and a bed w/o a pillow top on it.
Unfortunately upon arrival, there was major road construction going on which made getting into the hotel and parking lot, almost impossible. Then I used the Ladies room in the main lobby and when i went to get soap, the machine was out. Mentioned this to the hotel clerk and she said "oh, yeah, it's out of batteries".....ok.....The room was nice and clean. We did not like the King bed at all. First of all, IMO, it was the smallest King bed I've ever seen! It had a pillow top that we didn't care for at all and the pillows were 2 feet thick! Didn't seem like it was a very good, possibly even safe neighborhood outside the hotel.

Dear Bon Mom, I completely agree with your sentiment regarding the downtown road construction. I have requested that our website as well as our facebook show alternative directions to our property during the downtown face lift. I checked the soap in the ladies room immediately and found it to be fully functioning and the batteries were replaced the morning before. I am truly sorry your bed was not comfortable and had I been aware of it, would have done everything in my power to make you comfortable. Thank you for choosing us and leaving your honest opinion as it is very helpful! Safe travels, Jenn- Guest Relations

Access to hotel terrible

Posted Jul 26, 2016
The room did not cool down for the whole time I was there. The staff did not seem interested in doing anything above and beyond their job description to ensure a quality experience. If I had been told that all the surrounding streets to hotel were tore up leaving rutty sandy paths to travel on, I never would have stayed there. I find the whole experience sub par for sure.

Nice.....but really dated.

Nice hotel, good people, but really dated. Right out of 1970 with new curtains. I got what we paid for.....so it worked out.

Disappointed

Posted May 3, 2016
Pros: Location and restaurant had good tasting breakfast
Cons: everything
Location: It's in downtown rhinelander wi. The public Library is just across the street from their. Their is not allot to do their a museum and fishing.
They are in the process of remodeling their lobby. They should be remodeling the guest rooms. The room was dirty as if it was cleaned by an uncaring staff. The bathroom was dirty, with hair and sand on the floor. The toilet had not been cleaned properly and you could see the bacteria growing on the inside of the bowl where they had missed scrubbing with the brush. The bathroom walls were dirty. The extra blankets were dirty and thrown on the shelf in the closet, when I took one down their was a long piece of hair hanging from it.

Dear Bruce, I am sorry your room was not satisfactory. I would not be happy with my stay either had that happened to me. If you are in Rhinelander again I would be thankful to have the opportunity to make this unpleasant experience up to you. Please ask for myself or General Manager, Elizabeth if you stop by. You might be interested in knowing that we are infact currently renovating our guest rooms. Thank you for your honest review! Safe travels, Jenn- Guest Relations

Days Inn Rhinelander

Posted May 2, 2016 on Hotels
Only stayed one night, but it's a great hotel for the money with an on-site restaurant and its proximity to downtown is a plus. Shower had more than the typical two settings other hotels have (Arctic and Lava) so that's a definite plus. Strange angled toilet placement though, you have to reach under the counter to flush it. Hotel is currently undergoing renovation but looks like it will appear pretty upscale when it's done.

It offered a banquet room for our family.

Posted Mar 1, 2016
Pros: The only thing I liked about this hotel is that they had a banquet room that we were able to rent for our family get together.
Cons: It needs to be remodeled.
The room was very outdated. The carpet was dirty. The bathroom sink stopper was full of mold. The hotel itself is very outdated. Hallways were dark (poor lighting). The pool area had a strong smell of gases. The pool was very dirty (you could not see the bottom - very cloudy). I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
