It seems that in the hotel industry it is common to respond in a standardized way to guest comments about their experience, by saying "Thank you, as your feedback helps us become better". In in my case it also felt quite hypocritical. Unless there was an immediate and obviously efficient intervention by Expedia, my stay at Elysium-Rhodes hotel would have been disappointing. The room's description was, to say the least, misleading and I am trying hard to refrain from saying "totally fake". My booked room was described on their official website as a spacious 30sqm while the room I received turned out to be at MOST only 25sqm. The division manager in an awkward conversation that took place a good 45 minutes after my initial complaint, didn't provide a logical solution until only after I got Expedia informed and involved where they magically found me another room that actually was as what I had booked.
Furthermore, being a part of the so called harmony hotels net doesn't necessarily mean that they can provide peace and harmony everywhere in the hotel. From my point of view only the two specific floors with 64 rooms for the elite club members are really harmonious, luxurious and stylish. The rest of the hotel with its 260 rooms is neither harmonious nor stylish but rather a big family one, quite noisy and busy and very similarly operated like the massive-tourism-wave gulping small-businesses found everywhere on the island.

I would like to thank you for having chosen the Elysium Resort & Spa for your holidays and for the time you dedicated in sharing your experience. However, I feel the need to clarify some facts regarding your review.
First of all, allow me to inform you that when publishing data about hotel facilities, and particularly room dimensions, the measurement include the total usable indoor space of the room, i.e. bathroom, WC, wardrobe etc. This practice is applied by all hotels, at least within European Union. Given this fact, our rooms have exactly the dimensions provided on Expedia, as well as our website or any other partner tour operators’ websites. I apologize if this explanation may be too technical minded for some of our guests, but this is a matter of fact.
On the other hand, please note that our hotel is not family oriented; for this reason we do not offer discounted rates for children or special facilities and services that are common among family hotels. However, we do not restrict our clientele to “adults only”, giving our guests the opportunity to enjoy their holidays with their families. Taking into account that you stayed in our hotel in August, the number of children was slightly higher than during any other period, still much lower than could be expected from any family hotel at this time of the year. Please, accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this fact might have caused you.
