This is an outstanding place to stay. The staff did anything and everything they could to make us feel welcome and at home. We will not stay anywhere else whenever we visit Rhodes. Great breakfast, very quiet location, easy walk to the busy section of the old city, or to the harbor. I can't say enough about what a great find this was for us. They even made our 40th anniversary special with a bottle of bubbly and flowers. Just great people and a comfortable, pleasant room!

I loved the hotel and the service. We will return! My only feedback for improvement would be the breakfast. It was fairly limited with no made to order just continental style (some pastries, etc.). The room was fantastic and very clean!

Don't think twice about booking here! We had an excellent stay. The property is beautiful and allowed for us to be in the old city and enjoy shopping and dining. The staff were incredibly kind and always willing to help as needed, and even picked us up from the port to help us with luggage and directions. Everything was incredibly clean and very comfortable, the complementary breakfast was delicious and we got to enjoy conversation with the other guests, meeting some very interesting individuals. I can't speak highly enough about our stay here, and hope that I get to visit again soon!

Could not be better!
I do not normally leave reviews but this was one of the best stay experiences I’ve ever had. John is a man who knows hospitality and executes it beautifully. He and his staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and generous with time and information. The property was perfect - location was amazing, and the room was beautifully renovated and well equipped. Restaurant recommendations were spot on!! I would never stay anywhere else if we are lucky enough to visit Rhodes again.

The location is perfect , in the middle of the old town and in walkable distance to the palace , beach , multiple restaurants and museum . John and Nick went beyond any expectations, John picked us up with the little golf cart at the ferry port and took us back . It was a great relief that we did not need to walk at 42 C heat with the luggages to the port . It was really exceptional treat and hospitality from the hotel owner John .

Jan and his team made the experience top class from start to finish. Jan made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, breakfast in the courtyard was a great start to the day. Good escape from tourisim
The hotel is located at the far end of the old town, there is no direct car access and you are required to walk about 8 minutes from the nearest gate. once you arrive you need to call the number of the hotel as the doorbell is only heard in a single area of the hotel and the property manager is not always there to hear it. But once you get inside you see this amazing property that has been restored with the up most attention to details. I highly recommend to everyone who wants to escape the tourists

This is a wonderful place, right in the middle of Old Town, but on a quiet side street. The owner and staff were amazing: friendly, helpful, efficient. They arranged transportation into Old Town and back to the airport. Facilities and breakfast were perfect—they asked us what we liked and provided it!

This location provided the perfect atmosphere for our medieval adventure within the walled city. We were picked up at the ferry port even though we booked on the same day. Each of the staff members provided excellent services. Such a fun experience! Don't forget to ask the staff for the wonderful suggestions to great restaurants, sites and activities in and out of the walled city, you won't regret it.

We were well looked after by Mr John and his staff. Relaxed and informal, with comfortable room. Appreciated being met at the gate to the Old Town with the golf buggy to transport us and our bags.

This is a smaller hotel nestled toward the back of the old city. It was very comfortable and the staff were very nice. At the time, I was the only guest staying there (since I was in the off season). However, I was certainly not given any sort of disadvantage for that. Breakfast came at the normal time and was given no pressure for when to show up for it. I was able to ask plenty of questions about the area, and the staff were readily available. Overall, I had an amazing time at this hotel. The only thing I would mention, it is a little far from the gate, (only a few minute walk). So it is worth keeping in mind they have a golf cart that allows for easy moving your baggage from the entry to the old city, (such as either the main bus stop for old Rhodes or taxi stand). So make sure you ask for it when you arrive. Overall, I would highly recommend it, it is a very cosy hotel in Rhodes. I would stay there again if I was back on the island.

John is the heart of this property and he will go out of his way to accommodate the needs of his guests. I needed a small container for rubbing alcohol and I could not find one anywhere and John found one for me without me asking him. He is the epitome of exceptional service! I could go on and on with examples of his service. The property is set back but not too far from the main shopping lane, so it is quiet. I love the patio which is much nicer than the picture shows. The breakfast is very nice. I would definitely stay here again because of the service and the accommodations are just lovely.

John is an excellent host and his property is well thought out to ensure guests have a great experience. His attention to detail started at the ferry port where he was waiting to pick us up. We had just arrived from Symi where we had carted our luggage over a kilometer to get to our villa so this was very much appreciated. My husband and I extended our stay an extra night simply because Zacosta is such a pleasant oasis.

Zacosta Villa Hotel was absolutely fabulous! John and his staff were so kind and good to us they felt like family by the time we left. All went out of their way to ensure that our stay was as wonderful as it could possibly be, from the chilled Champagne when they found out that we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, to the spotless room filled with many personal touches when we returned from exploring the city. Our stay was lovely. Things were quiet, due to the pandemic. Yet John was solicitous to our every request, fetched us from the outside of the Old Town on a golf cart (normal cars and taxis don't get into the little streets), and couldn't have been nicer. Everything was COVID safe, and well thought through. Zacosta is beautiful, comfortable and peaceful, yet within moments' walk of the heart of the Old Town. We couldn't have been happier about our visit.

Magnificent small hotel in old town Rhodes
The Zacosta Villa Hotel is a gem hidden in the back streets of old town Rhodes. It has only 6 rooms and it is intimate but, at the same time, you have your own space and freedom. The hotel exudes quality in every aspect: the entrance, the courtyard, the finishing of the building, the reception area and the rooms. Our visit was for 7 nights in Aug'19. Our room was well decorated and large enough for one adult and teens aging 19, 17 and 15. The air-con was excellent. The fridge was filled up with mineral water every day. The WIFI worked perfectly and the best aspect of the room was the bathroom with fantastic shower, quality soap/shampoo and embossed towels. The hotel owner, John, is totally committed to the enjoyment of all of his guests. He was the first in Rhodes old town to introduce a golf buggy to meet guests at the entrance to the pedestrianized area thus saving them a 15 minute walk over bumpy cobble stones with their suitcases. Another highlight of the Zacosta is the relaxed breakfast in the courtyard. The local Greek yogurt, freshly squeezed orange juice and continental breakfast is a daily highlight. The room is beautifully made up every day. Special mention must go to George who helps John in the hotel for his warm welcome and constant smile and helpfulness. Another great feature is the recommendations for local restaurants. When the time came to leave, John took us in the buggy to the taxi he had arranged and our holiday in Rhodes was over too soon.

This property was outstanding. The proprietor was the most thoughtful , helpful gentleman. Breakfast was a wonderful spread each morning. The room was spacious , comfortable and fit for royalty. Wonderful property in the old town. Very convenient location and tucked away just enough to be very quiet at any time of day. Great quality room. Very comfortable bed and well decorated throughout. Buffet breakfast was also good. Hosts extremely helpful. Would recommend.
