What's nearby:
This custom-built home sits on 24 acres of protected wilderness in the Bull Run reserve offering its own trails for hiking, berry picking, and mushroom hunting. When the snow is falling, step outside and head out on those same trails for snowshoeing or cross-country skiing. If you want to hit the slopes for some downhill action, the Timberline Ski Area is just 22 miles away. For even more excitement, the Sandy River is only a couple of miles away, while there are numerous trailheads, parks, and refreshing waterfalls located just minutes from this rental. Or take a short, five-mile drive into Mt. Hood Village for shops, restaurants, and friendly local bars.

*Those with limited mobility, please take note. The trail from the parking area to the home is roughly 150 feet in length and crosses a grated steel pedestrian bridge. Appropriate footwear is required, especially in winter, as this trail is not shoveled. Bring your own flashlight to get in after dark. It is a dirt trail to the rock stairs
The driveway is plowed only when the snow depth exceeds eight inches, and a vehicle with AWD, chains, and appropriate ground clearance may be required

Parking Notes: Single file parking only. Please be advised that you'll need to walk over a bridge and either up a rock staircase or a steep hill to get to the house. Flat, comfortable shoes are required - no high heels

Damage Waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.)

The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $2,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

5/5 Excellent

Best place I have ever stayed
This was a magical experience! I don’t want to say why because I want all of you who have never stayed there to be surprised, but I will give you a clue....go into the forest at night! The river, exploring the forest, and feeling secluded was just what we needed! I already booked it again. ❤️

5/5 Excellent

Cozy spot to disconnect
Such a fantastic escape. We loved exploring the surrounding woods, listening to the creek, and curling up inside with a cocoa. Easy access to snowy activities on Mt. Hood, and fresh baked goods in Welches. House was well appointed, clean, and cozy.

Beautiful, secluded getaway
Excellent place to unplug and escape the chaos of the world. It offers everything one needs: fireplace, well appointed kitchen, plenty of windows, hot shower, gorgeous scenery out every window, the background serenade of a babbling creek, and hiking trails rough eight out the front door. The lack of internet and cell service was a big plus to just sink in and enjoy Mither Nature and the wild things as our constant (and only) companions.

5/5 Excellent

This home was beautiful Nd I felt transported into an enchanted forest. We all loved being there and definitely want to go back again. The home had everything we could need, a perfect disconnect from the world. Loved the secret garden found the stuga man in the tree! The only things I would have liked were curtains in the downstairs room. For a sense of security (even though I kept telling the kids there was nothing there lol) and I would have brought fire wood in with us the first trip in.... thus house was the highlight of our trip and loved loved loved it!!

5/5 Excellent

Perfect getaway
This was the perfect getaway for my husband and I. We had a lot of fun hiking around the beautiful property and we both enjoyed having no cell phone service. I would book this place again!
