sauberes, ordentliches Hotel Nahe InnenstadtPosted May 25, 2014

Not too bad for the price.Posted Apr 23, 2014
Pros: Clean rooms, proximity to Center of town, just above average.
Cons: Needs a safe in the room and also WiFi in the room that works.
Location: There is a carting ring across the hotel and it's fun if you like that.
Overall clean rooms and polite staff, just lacking in the fine details of a really first class hotel. A bit " too Bulgarian" with the staff asking lots of personal questions and not getting a sense of privacy and security. Also even though it says there is WiFi in the room- there is WiFi in the hallway, but not in my room- had to go down to the lobby to work on my laptop.

Bien pero la calidad de la conexión WI-FI es mala y el hotel es de 3 estrellas y no 4.5 como ustedes indican, claro que el precio coincide con un 3 estrellas.

Hotel was ok for the pricePosted May 28, 2013 on Hotels
I was there for 6 days and it was ok. One negative thing was the showerhead which had a damage and water was kind of flying in several directions. Told to hotelstuff but they didn't fix it. The bathroom is a little bit smaller than standard 4 stars hotels but it was ok. No problem. Very good was the food in the hotel. We ordered from restaurant every day and it was very delicious. Can't say anything about breakfast because we didn't eat breakfast in hotel. If you want to have a cheap 4 stars hotel then you can book a room.

A weird trip into post-Soviet Bulgarian glitzPosted May 8, 2013
Pros: Excellent staff. Really hard-working, pleasant and doing their best to
Cons: about the restaurant, they have the cheapest kind of olive oil rubbish out on the tables. My rule of thumb: if it ain't extra virgin, run in the oppos

Plovdiv is justly famous for its archaeological treasures. You are walking along a contemporary street, look down, and there are Roman crumbling walls beneath your feet. Funnily enough Park Hotel Plovdiv is a bit like that. It looks from the outside a bit like a castle - constructed out of ice cream and candy. Inside, it's a bit dowdy. Getting from the outside to the inside can present a problem though. The owners never bothered to pave the perimeter and they apparently imagine that all their customers will arrive in giant SUVs. This does present a challenge squeezing between the wing mirrors with your luggage. The front desk staff are fabulous. Excellent English, very attentive, very eager to assist the foreign guest in whatever way they can. They should be working in a five-star hotel. What I cannot understand is why the owners hired such excellent and well-trained staff but failed to include amenities for foreign guests like a single English-language channel on TV (like CNN or BBC). Which brings us to the rooms. Comfortable but poorly designed. Word of advice: remove the toilet rolls before you have a shower - they will get soaked. The hotel is right next to the Go-cart track. Thankfully noise pollution abates after 11 at the weekend (10 during weekdays) Ah, the breakfast. When the restaurant is busy in the morning, it's buffet. When they're not busy, it's Soviet tickets and one-size-fits-all. Hard for someone who won't eat meat. The restaurant was recommended but.

Good rooms but management have a lot to learnPosted Aug 22, 2012 on Hotels
Hotel was busy staff seemed to be struggling to cope. A hotel of that service should have a restraunt and room service meals. Staff tried really hard but seemed like management didn't have a clue. A bit out of the way from the main part of town but only small taxi fee or a good walk.
