“A beautiful and well appointed cottage surrounded by unspoilt countryside. Perfect for nature lovers and those who wish to have a break from hectic city life. The cottage is tastefully furnished and had all the facilities we needed for our 16-night stay, including washing machine, ironing board and a good assortment of kitchen utensils. Alain and Martine, the owners, who occupy the adjacent house, were delightful and Alain gave us many useful tips on what to see in the area and to best……

“The property was very well located, being close to the town of Chalais with a decent size Intermarche and Monday market. It was situated at the head of a farm track leading into fields of corn and sunflowers. The gite was spacious and clean and the bedrooms comfortable. It was good to have 2 bathrooms. We really enjoyed using the swimming pool and our youngest liked the swing in the tree! We had lots of BBQs. Only small niggle was that we were unable to find the toaster? Also not enough mugs,……

Un moment de détente assuré par le simple chant des oiseaux. Les hôtes étaient très accueillants et nous ont tout expliqué à notre arrivée, nous recommandant de bons endroits à visiter. Nous reviendrons certainement si nous revenons dans la région.”
