Hotel smelled like smoke everywhere. Rooms and hallways had mold growing in them. Not many lights worked in the hotel and the whole building was very dark. Was approached by many people on substances. Would never stay here again and checked out a day early because i was too scared.

We booked for 2 nights , and it was horrible made us regret our stay and ruined our vacation , room is dirty with a lots of blood spots on sofa bed mattress... when i went to reception and talked to the guy there about my complain about the mattress.. he yelled at me and being rude saying i need you get your stuff and check out.. i asked talk to manager he replied i have no manager.. i told him im not going to check out until i talk to your manager.. so later i went to visit some of our friends with my family. And when i back to the hotel i couldn't enter my room and figured out that he changed my reservation for one night instead of two night which i already paid for . And had me to re pay for another night to unlock my room with my stuff inside it . I don't recommend this hotel at all ..

I use a cane to get around with. When I got checked -in and got to my assigned room, the room was already occupied by someone else.. I then had to walk all the way back to the desk to let the person know that someone was already in the room, and to get another one. (I should add with my cane). I can't stand for long times and there was nowhere for me to sit and rest. SO I got another key, went to the next room to find that the key would not work .So I had to go back to get the key programed to open the door.

Roaches. We stayed 2 nights. We should have left when we saw roaches, but we paid thru Expedia and they told us no refunds. They said they sprayed the bathroom after our first night, but I don't think so. The bugs were still there. The clerk at checkout promised the owner would call and make things right. It's been 4 days and no call yet.

This was a great hotel years ago and seems to be managed by a new owner. It is now starting to be run down and needs serious updating. The breakfast was really limited and they literally had two plastic bags of cereal that were torn open on the counter. The second floor smelled like pot. The walls of the hallway are all scratched up. The lamps in my room were all rusted. The king sized bed had only 2 pillows. There were liquid stains on my bed's headboard. The mirror in the bathroom had peeling paint. One of my coworkers had bugs in his room and the managers didn't respond until asked a second time. This place is not serviced or cleaned well. It's a bit disappointing as I have stayed here several times in years past and it was always good. Now the place is rundown. Wyndham Wingate, this property is bringing you down.

Stuff are friendly. Some don’t speak English though. If not because of the stuff, I would give 0 star to the facilities. I was on 4th floor and the toilet didn’t work at all. No water in the tank. Changed my room and the new one broke after 1 use. There were some brown spots on the sheets in the first room, not sure what it is, but very obvious on the top

There was mold all over the bathroom walls and in the air conditioning/heat unit. It smelled of mold and must. We bought lysol spray and sprayed often to hopefully avoid any illness related to the mold. We got 2 towels for 3 guests because they had a “towel shortage”. Hotel reeked of Marijuana. There was a guy painting his car in the parking lot and another working on his front end. The parking lot was dark and didn't feel safe. Upon check in, 2 make employees were having a discussion and completely ignored me at the counter. The AC in the room barely cooled so we had to go to Walmart and buy a fan. Room was comfortable.

Rooms were not clean upon our arrival there was several other people waiting for a room,lots of people hanging around outside which made it feel unsafe. The tv didn't work half of the time, the room smelled wet,wallpaper was peeling. We couldn't get more towels and trash bags because the housekeepers did not speak any English. The front desk was not accommodating. I traveled almost 10 hrs and the website was not accurate i would not recommend this hotel and will not visit it again.

I only gave this Wingate one star because I had to in order to leave a review. Otherwise, I would’ve given it zero stars. We chose this hotel, because it was a Wingate, which we thought would be a middle of the road to better than Motel 6 hotel and because it offered breakfast. Most of the breakfast options were unavailable, the juice machine was broken. We had to move rooms three times due to marijuana infiltration of the air in our rooms and broken or missing parts of what should’ve been in the room. Even on the third room there were still broken items such as the coffee maker, the hairdryer, shower curtain, toilet paper rod etc. We specifically asked for our room to be cleaned and receive my towels and a bathmat which was not provided. Originally, they refused to clean the room until we had stayed there for three days. The entire room had hard wear and tear scuff marks and rips. Our third room was at the end of the hall, near access to the stairs and a secured door to outside. However, there was a door to the stairs that was left, unlocked all the time and random people were constantly coming and going through the stairwell. In all three rooms, the bathtub faucet ran continuously. This hotel should be rebranded to a much lower scale than Wingate, motel 6’s are kept up better and take more pride in their establishment. People said this hotel was now a drop off point for newly released low level prisoners and greyhound buses lined up in the parking lot across the street.

Exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. Tub didn't drain. Scalding water came out of the shower head and could not be adjusted. Cockroach in the tub. Bath mirror frame was falling apart. TV stand was worn. Rug was peeling back from the base of the wall. Cigarette burn hole in the sheet. Some outlets were not working and one lamp didn't work.
