Nice hotel, good location, decent amenities.

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: There is a Starbucks in the lobby of the Sheraton (attached to Best Western) and a Timmies in the parking lot of the Best Western. Coffee galore!
Cons: Bed closest to the window was cold (air conditioner) while the one further away was too warm.
Location: We came from Wonderland (17 minutes) and went to the Science Centre (22 minutes).
Last minute booking, hotel was centrally located between activities we had planned in Toronto. It is important to know that the Best Western and Sheraton share facilities here, so when you book at one you have access to the other. For example, the included breakfast was actually at the restaurant in the Sheraton. There are apparently 3 pools you can go to (one at Sheraton, two at the attached fitness and raquet club).

Visit to TO with grandchilldren for three nights.

Posted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Great pools and many, many restaurants near by. Good price. Great front desk staff
Cons: Housekeeping was lacking. Four of us in the room and only two towels (front desk arranged for more). Room not made up till after three. S
Location: About 25 min from downtown attractions, also close to Vaughn and its attractions. We visited the zoo, the aquarium, Skyzone and CJ Skatepark.
It was good to have a reasonably priced room within driving distance of the places we wanted to visit that had pools and restaurants at the end of the day.

Staff appreciates kids

Posted Aug 14, 2015
From the cleaning staff to the front desk and in the restaurants, staff continued to talk to my 5 and 7 yr old. Asking how their days was. Smart people because if your kids are happy, parents are happy. The cold water and Mr. freezies on check out was an amazing touch. My oldest instantly asked when we're coming back. Pools are great, breakfast was awesome. Great location and traffic was surprising good. We stayed here after attending the aquarium downtown. About 30 min from the aquarium and gave us a great head start for getting out of the city the next day I will be returning. Thank you

Refurbished room better than 'first impressions'

Posted Aug 10, 2015
Pros: Excellent value, comfortable/updated room, good breakfast buffet options, decent fitness centre/pool.
Cons: Better cleaning in corridors, steam room
Location: Central to southern Richmond Hill/area
We booked on Trivago for one night and included two breakfasts. Based on our experience with hotels in the area (Richmond Hill), this is excellent value. The front desk could not find our reservation but it was quickly reinstated. Main likes: excellent value, comfortable/updated room, good breakfast buffet options, decent fitness centre/pool/. Main dislikes: maze-like internal hallways, stale odours in corridors/public areas, steam room and hot tub not usable.

Close to family, and Toronto Zoo

Posted Aug 8, 2015
My stay this time was a little different, but still enjoyable. The TV in my room shut off every few minutes requiring me to turn it on again. Next time I will book on the main floor as I had lots of luggage and a child. This hotel has no elevator. The overall stay was very good. The breakfast buffet included with my stay was excellent. When I was checking out, the front desk gave my son a toy and wished us a wonderful day. I would most definitely return to this hotel.

Nice hotel with outdoor pool

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: outdoor pool, large room, fridge, microwave, complimentary breakfast
Cons: The room showed some wear and tear (cracks ceiling, peeling wallpaper at top of wall)...so maybe a little TLC.
Location: Close to lots of restaurants and we visited Yuk Yuks in Vaughan and Canada's Wonderland.
When we arrived our room was not yet ready although it was check-in time but there was no sense getting upset about it. We just relaxed at the outdoor pool for about 40 minutes. We had a king bed room which was very spacious. The hotel is older and the rooms show a little wear and tear but overall it was very clean and met all of our needs. We didn't go to the in-door pool as it was too nice outside. Having the outdoor pool was so wonderful. Lots of lounge chairs. The hotel is close to lots of restaurant choices (we went to Alice Fazoolis which was great). The next morning before heading over to Canada's Wonderland we had our complimentary buffet breakfast which was located just next door at the Sheraton and is attached to Best Western. It had a wonderful selection and was very good (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, pancakes, yogurt, fruit, waffles, hashbrowns, bagels and many more choices). Overall it was a nice experience for what we needed.
