Close to airport

Chose this hotel due to proximity to the airport and free shuttle. Staff was very friendly and when I needed a ride at 0600 to the airport, the breakfast guy dropped what he was doing and took me to the airport. Fast food type places within walking distance. Only thing I didn't like was that it was an older hotel and the rooms reflected it.

No security

Was sent up to a room that was still being cleaned. At 10pm the front desk assigned someone else our room. A man tried several times to enter our room opening the door to the inside lock that lets you speak to someone outside even though I am kept telling him that the room was ours. Called the front desk and asked them to send someone up to stop them right away or I would call 911. The guy at the front desk said they didn't have a key to our room even though the man kept opening it to the privacy lock. After 4 or 5 attempts he left. Security never showed up. My daughter and I packed our bags. Asked the guy at the front desk why he gave someone our room and never sent up anyone to help. He kept saying over and over that we wouldn't understand. Did not feel safe at all so we left for another hotel. Another manager called me the next day to offer apologies and offered a refund.

Good location when I want to visit friends in Richmond. Well-maintained. Friendly staff.

Very nice hotel close to the airport

Had a great short stay there, rates are fine, room was excellent, shuttle well on time. in short, a great experience.

Well maintained and close to the airport

I live an hour from the airport so when I have an early morning flight I come up the night before. I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. It's quiet, updated, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The rooms are comfortable and there is an exercise room. The breakfast is extensive. I've always had a pleasant stay (except for getting up at 330!).

Bed bugs

Bed bugs a lot in bed!! Don't go to best western.

If you have had any issues concerning bed bugs and have reported it to the desk the issue is taken care of within 24 hours. Bed bugs are not home grown they are brought in on travelers via suit cases and personal belongings etc.......Any hotel who states that they never had them are a fraud. Bed bugs are one of those things that can not be prevented but can be treated. If you can please call me directly I will love to speak with you about this so that I can make sure it was reported and treated. Room was clean but reaked of smoke

Stayed for one night when on long drive, room clean, safe, comfortable but reaked of cigarette smoke in the hallway and seeping into he room. We had to put a towel under the door. Laundry machines were useful for us and convenient right in the hallway. Breakfast was actually really great, lots of options including eggs, waffles, cereal, juice, pastries, granula yogurt parfait bar, etc. Free easy parking out front.
