Nice hotel, friendly and accommodating staff.

Nice hotel,friendly and accommodating staff. My only complaint was the restaurant. The food was pedestrian at best and the waitstaff was incredibly unfriendly. But the hotel and the hotel staff were both great.

Easy highway access

Pros: Breakfast, comfortable mattress. Cleanliness.
Cons: The door latch was loose and door was difficult to open and fix the shower rod. Put in thermostat controlled cooling.
Location: Easy on and off Highway 64.
Holiday Inn has good mattress and covers. The room we were in had a large tiled walk in shower. However, the shower curtain rod was about to fall down. Instead of the usual hotel breakfast buffet they give you tickets for breakfast to order from a menu at the adjoining restaurant. Parking was plentiful.

Check in super slow . Room was tiny despite being an access room. The iron in a hotel room IS important. The iron was terrible. Car park full of giant very noisy trucks . We have stayed in lots of hotels on our trip, this was the worst by far.

challenges in the kitchen

The menu has very few items and it took a long time for the food to come out. The wait staff handled it well. The perfect rating on everything else out weighs the kitchen problems. Clean and courteous. We would stay again

Just okay

The good - clean room, comfy bed, convenient to freeway The bad - housekeeping did not do a good job the first night. They didn't restock anything and they left the door open! The following day they skipped it altogether. We ran out of everything. Had to go to front desk to get it. From the reaction it seems this is pretty normal. Everything here is old and in disrepair. And I won't even start on the Victory grill. Just walk across the street to Subway.

BLINKING LITE

the first room we were in the air vent in the bathroom was really loud we contacted the manager and he came to the room but said he could not do anything about the noise. when he left we had a blinking light from the smoke alarm that blinked all nite. We changed our room for the second nite but we are not going to stay at any Holiday Inn hotels again

Rude Manager named Frederic!

We walked into the lobby to see a manager behind the desk speaking with 2 employees who were clearly done with their shift and heading home. They were having casual conversation and gossiping, and did not stop to greet as us as we entered. Even after we sat our heavy bags down and approached the desk even more they did not acknowledge us. After they were done with their conversation the manager spent about 15 minutes getting us our room keys. While we waited I asked for a few Bandaids and explained I had multiple blisters on my feet. We also asked the manager to confirm the room rate before giving him our credit card information. He said he didn't know what it was and continued doing god knows what. He finally gave us our keys and said "have a good night," at which time I had to ask for bandaid(s) again! He went to the back and returned with a SINGLE bandaid. His entire demeanor was rude, inconsiderate, and dismissive. To top things off we got to our room and found out-dated interior and a bedside lamp that did not work. NEVER staying with a Holiday Inn again. We typically book with Marriott and always have a great experience.
