Might be the worst hotel ever.

First and foremost. The hotel stunk. I don't think anyone on the cleaning staff should still have a job. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and our toilet wasn't secured to the ground. So if you leaned to a side you could tip the toilet and possibly flood the room. The lady at the front desk was very nice and apologetic. She changed our room. So we go to our new room...the air conditioner is stuck in AC mode. It is mid November and the room was 57 degrees...and oh yea the pillow cases were dirty and the bathrooms. Forget about it. The entire cleaning staff should be fired and management should be fired for not maintaining a standard and letting this go on.

This hotel is a filthy and I can't find the words

This place is so filthy that I had to ask to be moved from a smoking floor to a non-smoking section which I booked accidentally, only to discover the non smoking is no difference. The bathrooms and floors and walls are filthy. this are rusty and dirty or not working properly. I was grossed to even touch anything while there. So I found myself using Lysol wipes that I carry with me to wipe everything before use or touch it. The hotel representative on duty that night was rude and not helpful. She even hang up the phone on me when call with question.

I booked a room here and was disgusted, the first room was on a smoking floor and it was like no one had been in that room in months. there were burn marks near the ac unit and holes in the fabric there. the bathroom was dirty and the room was stuffy and smoky. I asked for a different room on a non smoking floor, this room was cool and everything seemed to be ok. the tv remote did not work, the batteries had burst and was corrosion in the actual remote. I asked for more batteries and at that point seemed to be better. this hotel has potential it just needs the right people in place and a few fixes.

Pros: Size, location, value for money.
Cons: Convert at least one of the power receptacles in the room from a 2-outlet to a 4-outlet.
Location: This hotel is a reasonable distance from the Richmond Coliseum.
I love the window-sill couch, the wall-to-wall mirror in the double-bed room. Staff were awesome.

The hotel staff was amazing. That was the only thing they have going for them. The entire hotel smelled of stale cigarette smoke, the room was falling apart.

The Microtel in Sandston VA is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. We stayed there on the night of the 18th of September and the 26th of September. In both cases the experience was horrible. The hotel stinks of mildew and dirty carpet. The rooms in both cases were not clean and smelled as if they had not been deep cleaned in weeks. The bathrooms in both rooms were dirty and had issues. The toilet seats were loose and ready to fall off. The sinks were filthy. The shower floor in both rooms was slimy and felt as though there was a film on the floor making it slick and disgusting. The AC units worked but smelled like stagnant water when running. I would not ever recommend this Microtel to anyone. The front desk staff was inattentive and unconcerned about any problems. The answer as always, ok. we will look into it. I hope this is not the manner in which Wyndham wants to be represented. I will not ever stay in one of these properties again. I would pay double the price to avoid.

Location: 1 Mexican restaurant: pretty good
The hotel was about what I would expect in a budget hotel. However, there was nothing around except the airport, a 7-11, and 1 restaurant. Fine for a short layover or if you are travelling by car, but too isolated if you are getting around by cab and bus.
