Day1 Sunday smelled like stinky feet at lobby. Room has wet moldy smell that needed airing out everyday. But the smoking pit was just below the window if you are not on the side facing highway noise. No fan in washroom/inoperable. No room service, had to go to ask for clean towel. Same scramble egg and sausage breakfast everyday and milk that’s lumpy even though it has not past expiry date. Has coin operated washer and dryer with broken door handle. Quality is not the word I would use but it was a level up from the Motel6 I was stuck in before. So it was a very low bar to cross for the 1week trade-show stay.

Just a place to sleep. Sink in bathroom had crack and hole- toilet ran all night had to turn the valve underneath off to stop the noise. The fan in the bathroom made a strange noise to start and shut oof. The microwave door was cracked by the top hinge not really safe to use. The place seemed unkept - rust on bathroom light and shower head not fixed to wall. While in wall behind bathroom door. Beds were clean and comfortable after a 15 hour drive. Would not stay again.

The area where the breakfast is served tables were dirty ( before the gentleman that comes in at 8am to work) and breakfast items also empty. Once the man who works there gets in at 8 things are quickly fixed.

No clue how this property has such good ratings on Expedia. The room I was given at check in was FILTHY. I'm talking food on the floor, dirty sheets covered in hair, hair in the shower, and the fridge STUNK and was covered in mold. I asked for a different room, but the second one wasnt much better. The sheets were still dirty and covered with LOTS of hair, not just a strand or two. I asked for a refund and left, it was so bad.

They were in the midst of remodeling and had a few hickups with our originally assigned rooms. Front desk readily remedied the situation and we were given functional, quieter rooms on the side away from the interstate. Nice breakfast.

TV did not work, remote did not work but honestly it was late and I did not address it with them. Got up in the morning to 0 hot water with a deadline to be somewhere..no shower. Stains on carpet. Friends in another room at the same hotel had to try 3 rooms before the "non smoking hotel" room did not smell like smoke. If you are on the side the faces the interstate the windows are super cheap single pane and it sounds like Daytona 500 all night long. Property is highly overpriced for what it is.

Stayed here because it was a pet friendly option right off I-95. The room wasn’t even vacuumed and the bedding had stains. I understand not having the best things in a pet friendly room but it could at least be clean. The bathroom also wasn’t super clean. My dogs were trying to eat all the scraps left on the carpet and the room had a very strong aftershave smell, almost like trying to cover up the smell of animals or smoke. Not great

First the good…..Excellent location, easy off/on I-95. Many restaurants in the area to grab a quick bite and multiple gas stations as well. This is a wonderful choice if you are traveling with your pets as most hotels are now charging a $50 and more per night “pet fee” (which IMHO is crazy as they provide absolutely nothing to your pet), the fee here (for now) is a much more reasonable $15. We didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t say how that is, it starts at 630am and we had to get back on the road. The sheets and towels were soft and nice, unexpected bonus. Area felt safe, no shady people hanging around. Now the bad…..property could definitely stand to have better maintenance, it was somewhat on the shabby side. We were in a room that while clean had a toilet that kept running and running. Almost everything is painted an unfortunate shade of Battleship gray which I think was supposed to come off as chic but it is very dreary. The hallway was dark and needs better lighting. The young man at the front desk was pleasant but noticeably absent, it would be good from a security standpoint to have someone at the front desk so no one can just walk in without being noticed. My husband killed a bug in the bathroom (may have been a small roach). The automated door to enter lobby was broken. That having been said we would stay here again as pet fee is fair for now and the location is great. We travel south frequently and have definitely stayed at places that were much, much worse.

The entrance door was completely broken it was a sliding door so you had to physically pry it open with your finger tips to even get inside , while inside the front desk personal were non existent I had to call the hotel to even get someone to come check me in. The elevator smelled so bad like sewage i took the stairs the entire time which i cant say the same for my father inlaw hes in a wheel chair so he had no choice but to suffer out the smell. The reason why we book Choice Hotels is because of the amenities of the free breakfast in the morning and it was suppose to start at 630am and at 7am there was still no hotel staff so we just had to pry our finger tips into thw sliding door to get out and leave as we had a long drive. I couldnt even check out properly because once again there was no one at the front desk. Very very disappointing

Initial general impression was it *was* a nicely renovated property maybe 10 years ago: things look relatively recent, but not well maintained. Elevator REEKED of machine oil (??). I went into my room and found the bathroom floor looked dirty (despite tile that camouflages dirt, I could still see it was dirty). So I dampened a little toilet paper and wiped it up…it appeared to be dried period blood. If THAT didn’t get cleaned between guests, what ELSE didn’t? I was exhausted, so I dragged all my stuff back downstairs and asked for a clean room. I was placed in another room that appeared less frequently used. Sheets and towels seem crisp and clean. Carpet has a gross looking stain, but I tossed a towel over it. The rest was good enough to sleep in for the night. I stayed 3 nights (out busy all day long, too tired to deal with moving to a new hotel). Breakfast was…meh. Most packaged foods (yogurt, bagel & cream cheese, cereal) seemed fine (the packaged danish was hard and stale). They serve sausage and scrambled eggs each morning. I took a bite of a sausage link and boy did I regret it. I think the sausages are the same ones they put out the day before, or they are overheating them, or something; it was…too hard. And dry. The eggs would be hard to recycle day after day, so they seemed safe, although those eggs were clearly not fresh from a shell, but safe and edible. I was going to try a waffle but there was a small roach scampering around under the iron. Won’t stay again.

The front desk clerk acted like he was angry for javing to wake up to check me in ,it was only 11 30 .. I called from parking lot to ask about rv & truck parking that was listed in details & he basically mumbled something & was zero help ! 5 min later i check in & he had went back to sleep ...not a good look at all .

What we liked: convenience, loved the fridge with the top freezer, quiet room, decent breakfast. What we didn't like: layers of dust on the top of the TV, pictures and head boards. So easy to wipe down in 5 min twice a month and help persons with allergies. The microwave was gross inside and out. A little extra house keeping out weighs the convience and breakfast for us. Will stay elsewhere next time.

On our way up to NY, it was a stop over trip. Checked in really late with no problems. Very comfortable bed. Missed breakfast but it smelled delicious. Had our little dog with us and had no problems! Will most likely stay again when driving through.

First let me say the staff was extremely friendly and the beds were the only thing that was comfortable. The room was absolutely disgusting. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the hall and rooms, the headboards were not ripped at all (see pics of where I whipped it clean to see difference), safe was completely ripped apart, water didn't stay got enough for a 4 min shower, carpets didn't look vacuumed, food and drink spills on dresser and between fridge, dogs barking all night long, and the housekeeping banged on our door at 8am waking everyone up even though the do not disturb sign was up and checkout wasn't until 11am! Worst experience in a hotel ever! Crusty and absolutely would never stay again! Please see pics! Only reason we stayed was because it was literally just a place to rest our head after Winterfest @ Kings Dominion. Photos will not upload.

Our room was cool at first, but then we stumbled upon a massive surprise in the bathroom – a giant turd. We let the front desk know, and they didn’t seem shocked, but switched us to another room that happened to be a handicap one. The new room reeked of mildew, had scuffed-up walls, peeling ceiling patches, and the shower felt more like a weak water fountain. Honestly, I would've just dealt with the turd situation in the first room if I knew the next one would be this bad.

Close to I-95, easy to get to. The bed was very comfortable, especially the pillows. In fact I found out the brand and ordered some from Amazon, lol!! Very quiet. The only complaint I have is that the shower was either too hot or too cold. I could not get any warm water, so I smipped the shower.
