Seedy to the point of being dangerous

Pros: Really nice front desk staff. I feel bad for them. The location was really convenient for me-- too bad I'm definitely never staying there again.
Cons: Security. Renovation that goes beyond a new coat of paint every 10 years. Info in the room like phone guide, wifi, channel guide, local food delivery.
Location: Convenient to a mall, a few other stores and a high school, but definitely not in a pedestrian-friendly place.
This seems like a motel that may have been cheap-but-decent 25 years ago, but hasn't been changed or renovated since. They clean it well, but that doesn't help tattered curtains, cracks & stains in the carpet/walls/bathroom, etc. The TV was also about that old. It got fewer than 10 channels, none of them local! Just CNN and a few random basic-cable channels. Wi-fi only worked occasionally. There was no information at all in the room itself, not even "how to dial the front desk." Just a bible and an old coffee-table book on Richmond. The hot water was 2 minutes on, 5 off. During the night a fight broke out somewhere near my room. Guys who sounded like they were right outside my door screamed profanities, threatened violence, ran, slammed doors, scuffled in the surrounding rooms. I'm not exactly a wuss, but I felt like my front window, which faced the hallway, might get smashed or gunfire might break out. Called the front desk. The clerk said she was by herself (sounding nervous), but that she'd check it out. It stopped & then started up again. The cops came and things calmed down after that, and I was able to get back to sleep. In the morning, the front desk clerks politely apologized to me, but they didn't quite seem to believe me about the fighting, saying they hadn't seen or heard it themselves. They did say they were thinking of hiring a security guard, at least on weekends. Pass on this one. Too run down, attracts a bad element or maybe it's just in a bad neighborhood.

This hotel was less than advertised and the phone was ripped or if the wall. I left feeling in clean

I have stay here twice before but this time. I found a bedbug in the bed.

Room was clean and when called about TV issue person came to fix it in 10 minutes.

Stay Away Hotel

Pros: nothing
Cons: everything
Hotel did not provide what was advertised. There was a pool, but it wasn't open. Advertised WiFi - not available. Restaurant not open. Furniture in the room had unknown stains. Room smelled. Sink didn't drain, etc.
