The Beautiful "cookie B" is Online to Join her Sister Ship "giamaria"

Historic houseboat in Richmond
The "Cookie B" is a 43' Hatteras that has been completely rebuilt and re-decorated in every way. Her 12' x16' living room has been refurbished with designer carpets, a sound system, a 40" TV, table/chairs and a new sleeper sofa. Her galley/kitchen is newly outfitted with a state of the art induction cook-top, cookware and red retro appliances, including a full sized fridge, coffee pot and toaster,. The master stateroom sports new carpets and 10" memory foamed mattresses and pillows that have been topped with quality linens and coverlets. The re-decorated master bathroom has been equipped a new silent flush Jabsco electric toilet, light fixtures, floor coverings and wallpaper. Outside, the "Cookie B" has a covered stern deck and a couple of chairs that are just right for morning coffee or evening drinks. There is a large bow deck for enjoying a sunny day or starry evenings, and there is not a more beautiful view of the James to be had whether looking east or west. It can be beyond peaceful on nights when hoot owls call to one another from across the narrow channel on Hatcher's island. And because we are moored in a shallow oxbow of the original James River (the part where Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas, Captain John Smith, President Lincoln, the Marquis de Lafayette, Benedict Arnold, and so many other notables passed within a few feet of your bow, it is easy to visualize those folks, those times, and those events that have shaped our country right here where you will be sitting. But there is another bonus to where the "Cookie B" is docked, and that is, there is never any commercial traffic, or rough water because we are protected on all four sides from heavy winds and storms. To get here is also a treat because you will enter the property by way of Hoke Brady, a National Park Service road, then continue on through a coded gate and travel for a short time past some beautiful farmland. Then as you descend the hill to the marina, you will pass a sign that says 4 1/2 MPH where you will get your first long glimpse of the beautiful James River. But be careful in the park because wildlife is everywhere, and so might be a park police radar. There is so much here to explore and enjoy in our little "piece of heaven" that it is difficult to know what to describe. Our ice is free as is our lighted parking lot which is videoed 24/7 and in view of the "Cookie B". So come and enjoy. My daughter (First Mate, Gianna, and I will be more than happy to help you enjoy your stay whether it is for one night or more? And as a special benefit for the ladies who grace the "Cookie B" or the GiaMaria, Gianna is a Graham Webb/ Boca Raton trained Cosmetologists with 23 years of experience who can give you a "do" or a complete makeover. In addition to holding a Virginia instructors license, she has also been locally recognized for her unique and beautiful hand made necklaces and bracelets. One other benefit that you will have available to you during your stay (if space is available) you can take a cruise for free, or for a small donation. We can arrange it for you through Captain Tom Lewis. Captain Tom is the founder of SailsangelsRVA, a non-profit organization to benefit anyone who would like to enjoy a cruise on his 20' boat. A Reader's Digest version of Captain Tom's bio would say he is a husband/father/grandfather, graduate of Princeton University a retired private school art teacher/scientist/ecologist/bee keeper/environmentalist/nice guy, etc.
Air-conditioned accommodations at this houseboat offer coffee/tea makers and hair dryers. Rooms open to balconies. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, microwaves, and separate dining areas. Bathrooms include showers.
The recreational activities listed below are available either on site or nearby; fees may apply.

2/5 Poor

OK, BUT . . .
Staying on a boat was a new experience and I enjoyed it. Owner was gracious and kind. Condition of boat was poor. Quite run down. Needs painting and general maintenance. Windows discolored and inoperative. Walls stained. Stair railings loose and didn’t feel safe. Cushions racked, faded, etc. grand ma’s furniture. BUT I still enjoyed it. Poor value for the $$$

5/5 Excellent

Exactly
I asked captain Ron for a great time for my love, and she loved it. Will be back for winter

Great 1 night stay!
Great 1 night stay while traveling to the eastern shore. Pet friendly option, very accommodating owner. Would return again.

5/5 Excellent

Sunset on the James
We came from New Mexico to visit our sone who was training at Ft. Lee. Capt. Ron's accommodations allowed us time to visit with our son in a relaxing atmosphere while spending time on the water which we don't get to do in New Mexico. Thanknyou Capt. Ron for a great respite.

5/5 Excellent

A Refreshing Experience
It’s hard to talk about the awesome accommodations without mentioning the owner, Captain Ron, who turned our recent stay into an experience by gently peppering us with perspective on the area, context on his life on the water, and a true feeling of comfort and protection while staying on one of the boats that he has poured his heart and soul into. My girlfriend and I just needed to get out of Richmond for a few days but we ended up settling into a peaceful new world. We caught some catfish, ate sunset meals while birdwatching on the bow, and got a little tipsy while jamming out to a thunderstorm inside the comfy little Cookie B. It would be an understatement to say it was exactly what we needed. It was perfect.
