Tired

Posted Oct 18, 2017
Pros: Close to Hampton Court
Cons: Tables and carpet in breakfast area. need a make over.
Hotel was booked as the hotel we planned to stay at was closed down. This used to be a Clarion Hotel I think but Clarion names taped over. Expensive for what it was. However just across the street to Hampton Court. Hotel is a little tired. Most of the staff were young and inexperienced. Room was way too hot with heating off, window open and fan in window. Said we had a full English breakfast but it was continental with full English an extra 5 pounds. Breakfast room table had names carved in it and carpet had terrible black marks all over it!

Such a Nice Hotel

Posted Oct 9, 2017
Pros: Location, architecture, view from breakfast area, proximity to Hampton Court, proximity to Thames River.
Had a wonderful visit to the Hampton Court area. So glad I booked at the Mitre again. The hotel is lovely, and the surrounding area is pleasant and relaxed. The hotel staff is very pleasant and friendly. All our needs were taken care of. I will definitely stay at the Mitre again the next time travel takes me to the suburbs west of London.

Good location, enjoyable stay

Posted Sep 19, 2017
Beautiful large building, good location, obviously high maintenance which is ongoing. Warm, comfortable room with all necessary requirements. One aspect of room service overlooked but dealt with immediately to more than our expectation. Stayed 2 nts, dined in restaurant on first evening. Food presentation and taste first class, very obliging and friendly waitress, most enjoyable evening. Excellent cooked breakfast. Staff pleasant, polite and helpful, would say maybe require more organisation re job structure and prioritisation of work so nothing is missed for staff to be more confident.Overall an enjoyable stay and no hesitation in returning.

Business Visit

Posted Sep 7, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Rooms require refurbishing
Location: N/A. Business visit
Stayed for 1 night for business meeting. Check in was very efficient and a car parking space was available. Room was very tired and in need of updating and there were 2 spiders living in the bathroom. However the room was very quiet and I slept well.

Close to town

Posted Aug 24, 2017
Cons: Health and Safety
The hotel itself wasn't bad as such...it was a bit dated but we expected that from the pictures. Parking is not great there are some spaces out the front but they are limited and mostly used by staff. So you will need to pay for parking. Our room was on the 3rd floor but you have to go down to get to it??? Anyway overall stay was ok my issue was all of the laundary bags filling the corridors, when I spoke to the receptionist regarding these she explained they had already received a complaint of how this looks and she would be talking to her manager when they arrived. I explained my reason was for health and safety, I explained that in the event of a fire these bags could cause an added danger. This was not a couple of bags they lined the entire corridors! Her response was I hadn't thought of that!! I have emailed both the hote and Expedia to get a response about this but neither has responded!

Convenient to Hampton Court

Posted Aug 20, 2017
Pros: Large room with a comfortable bed. Very quaint and interesting historical building with a bar and dining room. Nice breakfast buffet as well.
Location: Walking distance to visit Hampton Court and only a 30 minute taxi to Heathrow. If you want a change of menu there is another restaurant next door.
We chose The Mitre as it was immediately across from Hampton Court and a reasonable distance from Heathrow for our next day flight home. We were not disappointed. Would definitely return.

Perfect position for visiting Hampton Court

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Pros: The proximity to Hampton court. Free parking. Spaciousness of the room. Friendly staff. River side hotel. Good breakfast.
Cons: If I had to be picky I would say that parts of the hotel were in need of sprucing up, chipped paint work and a little tired looking.
Location: Just across the river were some nice cafes, resteraunts and antique shops. Also boat trips and walks along the side of the Thames & Hampton Court.
Friendly greeting on arrival. The room was nicely decorated and spacious, very comfy large bed. A lovely minstrels gallery library to read in. They catered for my gluten and lactose intolerance at breakfast and provided a nice choice. A lovely view of the river to watch while you ate.
