Nice hotel

Stayed 2 nights. The first night it was very quite, the second there was a party at the pool and it was very noisy but it still was quite in the room. Although the rooms were updated recently they seemed to have kept some of the 1970’s furniture. Some of the furniture was to big for the spaces. The table overlapped the bedside table. The lights were all very dim. For some reason there was no Cold water in the shower making it very hard to shower.

The TV in the room was at least 20 years old. Poor quality. There. Was a hideous chair that was ripped in the room. The jacuzzi was cold and would not heat up. The breakfast was good, and it was probably the best part of my stay..

Good value for travelers. Rate is generally low compared to others in town and the serve you a cook to order breakfast with your stay. I've stayed at this hotel 4-5 times now and always had good experiences.

No working HVAC in room 264.

Pros: Friendly employees
Cons: Install a working HVAC unit in room 264.
It was over 100 degrees when I arrived. Quickly realized the HVAC unit was not putting out cool air. Called desk and they sent over a repairman who was very friendly. Made some adjustments and I waited a while. HVAC still not working so I called desk and asked to be moved to another room. They said they were sold out and could not move me. Asked for a refund so that I could go to another hotel. They said they found a replacement unit and would be right over to swap units. Repairman brought over a new (old) unit and swapped out units. Unit appeared to be putting out cool air so I went to the bar for a while to have a beer and let room cool down. When I came back room still over 90 degrees. By this time I was so frustrated and had to get up early for work so I just sweated it out. Most uncomfortable hotel stay I have ever had by far.

Met some great nee friends at the pool. Room was very comfortable. Restaurant very good! Especially waiter/bartender Geraldo. Super comfy!

Recommend but with limited expectations.

Pros: Loved my bed. AC and hair dryer worked great. Furnishings very nice. Luckily the server honored my complimentary breakfast after front desk declined.
Cons: Coffee mugs had residue in bottom. I had intended to pay cash but clerk charged card on file instead of asking.
Location: Kmart and Walgreens were across the street. Schooner's is a great restaurant nearby with amazing food and great drinks.
Front desk needs backup since she was taking calls instead of concentrating on the line. At checkin the clerk took my credit card and ID. The most she spoke was to ask if I wanted upstairs or downstairs. She handed me the room key, said the room number and called the next customer. I had to ask where the room was and had wanted to ask about the breakfast and pool hours but felt pressure to move on. I figured I’d find it in my room. Since I received no info at check in regarding the breakfast I got the info from the book in the room which gave the hours each day. Based on that I asked my friend to meet me in time to get there by 11. At the restaurant, 10 minutes after I arrived the server asked for my breakfast chip of which I had no idea what she was talking about. Explained I get it from the front desk so I left my friend to get it. Again the clerk had no back up so waited 15 minutes while she handled a check in, check out and 2 phone calls. She then tells me that the guest breakfast ended at 10am which differed from the book in the room. I explain this, she said “That’s wrong. They need to change that.” The thing was that at this point it was only 10:25am so I’m sure that I had arrived at the restaurant prior to 10.
