First of all, to anyone traveling to Riga, download the bolt app as it is around 5 EUR to get you into the centre and there are bolts everywhere. even get it from the airport and its around 5 EUR! Secondly, if you book a family room and expect a double bed and 2 single beds as per the photos on expedia of the room, double check with the hotel as they did not do this and, there was 3 of us and it was a double and a single.. not the worst thing in the world but not what we requested and paid extra for. The hotel simply said that expedia dont tell them... so why have it as an option? Just make sure to contact the hotel before hand. The breakfast was basic, but for the price paid for the hotel it was clean and easy to deal with.

Everything was nice, but noise from a corridor,if somebody talking or calling . All other facilities were in good, normal condition, the parkihg area unofortunately narrow, and evening time full occupied.

Decent economy hotel close to a park, bars & restaurants. Clean rooms with bathtub & fridge. Really tasty breakfast to explore Riga 7-days-a-week. 10 min. by bus & tram to old-town & city-centre.

Budget hotel with high standards
This is a hotel that is definitely in the budget range but it proved to be far superior than some 4 star establishments that I have experienced. The staff were helpful and efficient and the hotel was adequately comfortable and clean.

This is a nice place for a family of four. Family bed in the main room and two single beds in the side room for kids. Clean, excellent condition and good staff.

Convenient and clean
Stayed one night before a flight back to UK from Riga airport. Hotel is handy for airport, only 10 minute taxi ride. Hotel staff very helpful, even printed our boarding passes. Hotel is set back from main road and is quiet. Not a great deal to do in immediate vicinity, although there is a good restaurant very close. And it is not too far from central Riga (old town) if you wanted a longer break.

Nice simple comfortable hotel,reasonably priced
Nice, big,. clean room with a small TV, with some English programs. Room cleaned and the towels are changed daily. Breakfast is OK, but they constantly ran out of good bread and yogurt, and there is NO VARIETY. For 5 days it was really boring. The bed is the worst feature as it is extremely uncomfortable. Pretty nice area, good fresh food market and good restaurant are around the corner. Many buses going to the center, takes only 10 minutes And A GREAT BIG BATHROOM with both bath tub and a shower

Convinient and clean hotel
Ok hotelroom for a very ok price. Decor was early 2000's baltic style, so functional but not charming. Clean room and bathroom, but chilly and unable to set heating. Not the hotel for a romantic getaway. But for its price a good deal, the right choice to catch an airplane next morning.

A nice hotel a bit away from the Old Town
The hotel is located in an old building, but the rooms are renovated and spacious. Good breakfast too, and priced fairly. Old town is reachable by foot in 30 minutes.

Staff were very helpful and polite,especially when we asked for a kettle to make our cup of tea in the room,it was there immediately. The hotel is a short distance from the city centre,no problem though as public transport is cheap and frequent,even on Christmas day. The hotel only serves breakfast but that is not a problem,there are restaurants and bars nearby providing reasonable priced products. Overall a good value for money hotel.

Friendly Staff and the Hotel very clean!!!! Break was very nice for a vegetarian. The location is perfect, up to 12mins to the center by bus or tram. I recommend it for sure!!!!

Absolutely the Best
The staff was very professional, greeted us warmly and opened the bar for us to enjoy a welcome drink. The room was comfortable, hot water, and everything you would expect from a fine hotel.

The hotel was further from the old town than I realised so we had to get buses. The beds were not properly made just pulled up and left lumpy. The mattress was not very thick. The breakfast was not nearly as good as in the other two hotels we stayed in

Hotel staff excellent room very clean but not too comfortable.I am originally from Latvia and notice that one problem in all Riga hotels nowhere to put toiletries no anti slip mat in the bath and handles in the bath. Breakfast very good and breakfast room very good.Good connections with airport

Lovely clean and modern hotel
Stayed for 5 nights, hotel was lovely, clean, modern. Staff was excellent, couldn't be more helpful. Cleaners cleaned daily, it was spotless. Bathroom was new, only slight gripe being no shelving or space to put toiletries on, but we managed! Breakfast was adequate but the hot food was not very hot, maybe the heating elements in the food tureens should be turned up? Location was very central, close to several bus and tram stops which takes you to the old town, shops and 2 supermarkets nearby as well as the market hall where you can get almost any type of food you want. Walls in hotel was a bit thin but it was quiet when we were staying so no problems. All in all, a very pleasant stay, would stay there again IF I returned to Riga which I doubt, as was not very keen on the place. It was dusty, people were rude, no smiles, too many itinerants, some begging, depressive buildings with graffiti on any available space you can get something on. Can say I've been but will probably not go back.

When I made booking and looked pictures from out side.i was thinking to cancel my booking. But I stayed there for 3 days.its very good place to stay in affordable price. They can improve it more if they do the evening food menu in the bar.

Wonderful hotel, staff go out of their way to help
Really couldn't ask for more, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and happily agreed to receive an important parcel for me before my stay. The hotel itself was of a very high standard and surprisingly comfortable considering the very reasonable price. The location was a little out of the way but it didn't take long to walk or catch a bus into the centre of Riga. Overall, I would absolutely visit again and would not hesitate to recommend Primo Hotel to anyone visiting Riga.

Great value hotel just out of town!
A high quality bed and breakfast hotel for an exceptionally good price! A great base for visiting Riga and getting an authentic view of the city. Located about 10 mins out of town by bus (very frequent, £1.20 single trip or get one of the very good value 3 or 5 day passes) or tram (less frequent). Large car park outside. Clean and very well presented public areas, massive twin room with beautiful wet room bathroom, good fixtures and fittings, free wifi, flat screen tv etc. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast with good range on offer - cereals, some English products, Crioissants, local meats/cheeses/breads/salad, plus porridge and steamed vegetables. Located in small local neighbourhood which felt perfectly safe though a far cry from the more Westernised city centre street scene, very much a local residential area but with good links, local shops/banks/supermarkets. Overall a good compromise of hotel rate vs accessibility. Would throughly recommend this hotel for a good value weekend break.

Poor area of town, no restaurant, bad bed.
To stay in a cheap hotel in a poor area is not so bad, but in Riga it makes no sense if such a hotel is on the wrong side of the river from the main city - there are many alternatives, mostly slightly better hotels, and in the same price range on the city side of river. The rooms are spartan, and bed was a disaster. Very cheap matureness which had already entirely collapsed over the edge of the bed - most uncomfortable. The breakfast was reasonable, but minimal volumes available on buffet to ensure limited intake!

Away from tourist centre saves on cost
Primo is across the river from the Old Town, which means I didn't pay the high prices of hotels there, but Old Town attractions were within easy access by excellent public transport. Staff were helpful, for instance arranging taxis and once even giving me use of a personal mobile phone.
