Lovely hotel in good location staff superb. We liked the way the property had been renovated to expose the foundations. Food was very good and plentiful.

Nice stay
We had a pleasant three nice stay- although we feel it was more a four-star rather than a five-star hotel as advertised. Friendly service by all staff. A few misses in the room. The shower was not easy to get in and out of, and there was only a kettle instead of a Nespresso machine (which was advertised as having in the room). Location was great, close to everything.

Great hotel right next to the old town. Would certainly stay again. Make sure to talk to Francisco, the bartender at hotel's restaurant. He's your best informal guide to the history of Andalusia and beyond.

Great hotel in a great location!
We had a lovely 4 night stay at the hotel over the summer. It's in a great location with local sights in Malaga being within walking distance, including several bars, restaurants and a beach. Despite most things being walking distance, there are usually taxis parked outside so further excursions are easily do-able too. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and were able to accommodate a late check in due to our flight time. The hotel itself and rooms are of a very high standard and exactly what you would expect from a hotel of this calibre - and I was very taken with the fragrance that is used throughout the hotel and in the rooms! Definitely recommend a stay and we would love to come again - we had a wonderful, very memorable trip!

I had booked 2 standard rooms for a friends trip. We were upgraded to a lovely family suite with a great view and real balconies! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Although not within walking distance from the bus/train station it was inexpensive to Uber or by taxi. Pleasantly surprised by how close we were to the dining and shopping area.

This is an excellent hotel on the edge of the pedestrian area. The decor is great, the room was fabulous, staff was helpful, parking was convenient, and it is very clean. The city wall ruins in the basement can be seen and are thousands of years old. Highly recommend this hotel .

Just OK
Heard such great reports about the hotel, but honestly, it’s “just ok”. We had a premium room, but was facing out the front of the hotel and very noisy. Breakfast was good, however, on the last day, we had to leave the hotel quite early to go to the airport, and asked for a bagel “to go” instead of breakfast. “No” was the answer. Very disappointing. I am sure that there are better hotels in Malaga.

My wife and I spent a week here in January 2023.The hotel is the perfect base for exploring Malaga itself and also for travelling further afield in Andalusia. Our room was great - spacious, quiet, luxurious. Breakfast was excellent and the hotel staff were wonderful without exception. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was not up to standard. He’d to get 2 omelets and both were overdone. Also cooked food in tats were all cold. Should at least have a microwave to heat things up. Had meal in evening it was ok but nothing special despite price.
