Hit and Miss

My wife and I had some great experiences here, but also had some poor experiences. It is a beautiful place, the food was good, options were great, and some staff were great (just not all). This place felt a little bit more open and accepting of tips than other all-inclusive resorts we've been to, but there is no ATM, so if you come here, bring plenty of cash for the whole time you're here or you may run out with no way of getting any cash during your trip. We tried getting cash during a shopping trip we paid for specifically to go to an ATM, and that was a BAD experience as well. Some staff are great, but some made us feel like we were inconveniencing them. One example was our A/C stopped working and I talked to someone at guest services once, then I called 3 times during the day before someone finally showed up at 8 or 9pm, and only made it work for about 5 minutes, said they would come back to check on it, and never did. I called 3 more times throughout the next day to get someone to fix it, and no one came until I walked to the front desk and asked again. This again was not until the late evening when someone showed up, and said that an A/C repairman would come in tomorrow. Again, it was never fixed the following day and we just gave up. We just felt like we were an inconvenience to staff in a few different instances, and that ruined our feel for the place.
